Dr. Derek David Rains, MD

I went to him after my orthopedic went to ER patients only. He wanted to try a newly released treatment my insurance doesn't cover and when I said no I want to stay with what was working he said no, either the new one or we wait until we can do a knee replacement. NO.

I saw Dr. Rains for a follow up appointment for a severe ankle sprain. I had been doing rehab with athletic trainers for 2 months before being directed to Dr. Rains to see how much damage i actually did. I waited for an hour for him to see me and he seemed in a rush once he was in the room. He gave me a diagnosis that lacked in confidence. He then proceeded to tell me he "isn't and ankle guy" and told me to see a foot and ankle surgeon. The appointment felt like a waste of my time. If you have a knee or shoulder injury he would probably be a great doctor but if you have an ankle injury, don't waste your time.

ive known dr raines for about three years now and he is a,excellent dr from visit and consultaions to surgery and beyond an aslso with fallow ups afterwards good job dr rains keep it up

Dr Rains always takes a lot of time to diagnose, and explain your options. Then before doing anything, he tells you the success rate and describes to you exactly what he is going to do. Excellent bedside manner. His staff is wonderful in trying to get insurance pre-approval for the procedures the doctor thinks will help you out. Excellent experience.
