Summary
I was born and raised on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, along with one sister. I knew I wanted to be a doctor from the time I was about 5 years old. I have always enjoyed helping others, whether it was through my volunteer work at several hospitals or mentoring middle school students in poor areas of New York City. I particularly enjoy caring for elderly patients and thought that I would become a geriatrician, but in my fourth year of medical school I fell in love with the excitement and hands-on aspects of anesthesiology.
