Dr. Dianne Marcia Edgar, MD

First, there are two addresses for this practice and had I known this I could have found the reviews prior to signing up as a patient. So note that S. Clinton Rochester and Pittsford-Victor Rd, Pittsford are for the same practice. Now, based on my experience with Dr. Edgar I cannot recommend her as a doctor treating menopausal and post menopausal women. The last straw was a recent mammogram that received no follow-up from anyone at this office. Where's Dr. Edgar to review the letter and refer me to an additional procedure??? This wasn't the first time either. I called the doctor's office the first time I received a letter in the mail from the imaging center and asked why someone - anyone - from the practice didn't call me with results and recommendations for the next step? The person answering the phone could have no excuse. None. My last visit with Dr. Edgar was one of two of the worst I've ever had with a gynecologist in my life and I've been seen all over the US and abroad. The… worst one was in London with another female gyno that refused me a breast exam and Pap smear! So this appointment with Dr. Edgar was also dismissive coupled with intimidation. I've never experienced that! Your job as a doctor is to inform and recommend. It is not to force your opinions on your patient nor is it to bully them into submission of your preferences. Her bedside manner is rude, abrupt and not gentle in the slightest. She had very little patience with me and showed her dislike of my preference of choices. Based on all of this, I moved my care to another practice where the doctor listened and accepted my chosen path of healthcare. Dr. Dianne Edgar cannot be a recommended doctor as a result of the treatment I received.

I like having a woman dr. She can identify withyour problems.

Dr. Edgar is knowledgable, skilled and kind. I'm giving birth to my second child in another state or I would have for for my doctor the second time around. Highly recommend her!

She is a fabulous Dr. Very honest and sometimes tells you things you don't really want to hear, but need to hear. But seems to do it without judgement. Proactive, keeps you informed of things you should be thinking of at different stages of life.

Did not take symptoms seriously and was belittling when I was in pain and fearful of a serious condition (ovarian cancer). When a specialist (gynolocologic oncologist) diagnosed me properly, she then offered to do the surgery, for selfish reasons. Very poor bedside manner.
