Dr Ranparia performed a uterine artery (or fibroid) embolization in March of 2010. I urge anyone with fibroids to see him. (I suffered with extremely heavy bleeding and uncontrolled anemia as a result of these fibroids.) This Dr. knows his stuff! He told me everything to expect and it went exactly as he said. He followed up with me for two weeks after getting out of the hospital. In all, he took such good care of me and was very compassionate. Don't think you have to get a hysterectomy or the other options, this is the way to go. Don't think ob/gyn's are better I found none of them compared to him and the procedure. Also don't believe when an ob/gyn doesn't want you to go this route they just want your money and the ones I saw, could have cared less about my huge fibroids and the health problems I was having.. You do need a referral to see him, he will need to make sure you don't have cancer, etc. but don't give up it's worth it. Rhonda
