Doctor Cameron, has been very polite. I am a MOm of special need son.He amazes me how that he relate to the kids . The first visit, My son was so fastenate with the stetscope around his neck that he started to wear his at home like that. I think that it take a special man. Everyone that know my son goes to him know that he is doctor that know his stuff. I am impress that he doesnt just give a diagnosid until he sure. he is the best, just take from me. Remind yourself that if you get impatent when you are waiting, It because he is such a caring and want to makesure that give you enough time to talk through what is going on with child. YOu are bless for him being such a caring doctor.

Dr. Cameron--my feelings

I feel very different than many of the people that have written. My daughter has been a patient since birth. Dr. Cameron has treated my daughter as if she was his own since day one. The most difficult things with children's neurology is that you have to be ready to accept your child's medical conditions. Don't blame the doctor because you don't like the diagnosis. At several times during my daughter's treatment, Dr. Cameron himself has referred us to Cleveland Clinic and to the University of Michigan. They didn't come up with any different suggestions or treatment regimen than Dr. Cameron had. It's never a bad idea to get several different opinions. But don't think seeing a different physican will always change the outcome. Many children continue to benefit from Dr. Cameron's care and once you meet Dr. Cameron, waiting even 4-5 hours is worth the wait! (TIP...ask for first appointment of the morning and be there 15 minutes early!)

It takes months to get an appointment with him. Once you get one, expect to wait hours in the waiting room, you may even get a pager and have to leave and come back when paged. Once you get in the exam room expect to still wait awile. When he finally graces you with his prescence, he will make you feel rushed. He will not take your concerns into consideration. He thinks he knows everything. He will dismiss you within a few minutes. My suggestion if you live in the Toledo area and need to see a neurologist is to drive the 2 hours to the Cleveland Clinic and one of their many wonderful neurologists. The 4 hours total you will spend in the car you would spend in the waiting room for Dr. C. And when you see a C.C. neuro, they will spend at least 45 minutes with you and answer all your questions. They will explain things so you can understand and not make you feel like an idiot for not understanding medical terms.
