Dr. William Donald Cooke, MD

Dr Cooke treated me decades ago with testing determined the 5 grasses and 7 trees I was allergic to. Designed an injectible serum. 2x week for couple years. Completely free of the horid symptoms of severe sinus infections. I love him, he is brilliant. He takes the time and care to make a difference

I was a patient of Dr. Cooke. I reached out to him on options in regards to their shot schedule and my inability to get my shot, due to their shot schedule and distance I had to travel. Instead of working with me and giving me options on what could make it better for his patient he got frustrated and said, “Maybe this just isn’t for you.” Obviously it was for me if I went into his office and sat down with him and he took the time to put together the solution to eventually make my allergies better. I don’t agree with their policy on getting your allergy shot and walking back to your car and waiting for 20 minutes in case you have a reaction. This is not an in person observation period. You could walk back to your car, have a reaction and if you are by yourself you might not have the ability to call or go seek help if you have an allergic reaction. My personal experience with Dr. Cooke was that he was very Unprofessional and instead of working with his patient to make it better… for them, he gave up and took the route of telling me, “Maybe this just isn’t for you.” I would not recommend this office for your Allergy and Asthma needs in this small town of Durango, CO

Compared to doctors and staff in Farmington, NM the whole experience was excellent!

My allergies have become worse in the last few years, and Dr.Cooke has been great at helping. None better.

This DR. actually kicked me out of his office because one of my babies was fussing. He has the Nerve to put pediatric allergist on his sign and literally 1 minute after a baby starts fusing he comes out of and tells me to leave. NOT A KID FRIENDLY OFFICE. Part of the DR elite of Durango who treats patient/families badly because we have so few choices for specialists.

Dr. Cooke takes the time he needs with each patient. He wants to understand their individual needs. He's "right on" much of the time. He has so many resources right in his head, it's amazing to watch him at work.
