Dr. Donald Ervin Baxter, MD

En el 2009 el Dr Baxter me opero el pie derecho por segun el Tarsal Tunnel syndrome.. mi situacion despues de esa innecesaria cirugia empeoro.. fui a otros medicos y coincidieron que NUNCA debi ser operada pues en los examenes fueron mal leidos y el reporte estaba equivocado!. El Dr Baxter practicamente me arruino la vida!

En el 2009 fui a verlo por dolor en los pies y ardor que no me permitia casi caminar... el me diagnostico con tunel tarsiano y me opero, una cirugia innecesaria segun me han dicho otros ortopedista y que me trajo como consecuencia dolor cronico y problema de tendones. Por favor no lo escuche vaya a otro medico que no este buscando solo su plata! el me arruino la vida!

I went all over the country seeing some of this country's best doctors, because my case was an anomaly. I went undiagnosed with Tarsal Tunnel for 2+ years after another original surgery. I flew in to see Dr. Baxter, he saw me, diagnosed Tarsal Tunnel, scheduled me for surgery, and was confident of my success. Other doctors I saw didn't even want to operate on me because they didn't have the confidence that it would be a good outcome. Two years later after my surgery with Dr. Baxter, my life has almost normalized, I have significantly less pain. I can run again. I have gained some feeling back in my foot, and some temperature sensation back. I am confident I will continue to get better. Dr. Baxter is an amazing surgeon with a great bedside manner, and I hope he never retires.

Dr. Baxter, is outstanding in his field. He has kept me on my feet with his treatment over the past years. Without him, I would be wheelchair bound.

My entire family LOVES Dr. Baxter! My mom even flew in from Michigan just to see him. His care is unmatched and I recommend him to anyone and everyone I know.

This guy knows his feet. Very well respected in his field.

Out of 4 podiatrist and 1 ortho visits, I've had in the past few years, there was no one save for Dr. Baxter that actually took at least 15 mins. with each foot in his hands. Squeezing, rolling, applying pressure at various joints and points and asking "does that hurt...does that hurt...does that hurt more". Sort of like an optician does when fitting one for eyeglasses. I think that oddness the previous poster observed was more of concentration on what lies beneath the skin. Because when he asked those questions I noted he was looking up towards the ceiling and not at my face. I don't really know this was the case with the previous poster since I wasn't there, but it didn't happen to me so it could have been an aberration. BTW...another ortho doctor far away in another city told me that Baxter is a genius when it comes to his specialty. He wasn't recommending him, I was inquiring about him after a chance meeting and finding out he was a foot and ankle guy and thinking of seeing… him. I guess one has to expect a bit of quirky behavior at times from a genius. I just want my problem fixed. My fingers are crossed that his diagnosis and treatment does so.

This had to be the most surreal doctor visit EVER! I felt like there was a 3rd person in the room that I couldn't see and that's who he was talking to because it WASN'T ME!!! When he felt he'd finished talking to the ghost in the room he just got up and left. I was left not knowing if we were done or what?? Even the Nurse was confused by it - she came in all flustered and said he never does that!

Dr. Baxter has kept me walking for the last 30 years. After a car wreck and the nerve damage caused while in a hospital on the east coast. He told me what would happen and what could be done, and every thing he said would happen, happened just as he said it would. I would recomend him to anyone.
