Dr. Donald Jones, MD

Surgery went well. Dr Jones visited me before surgery, after surgery . Would have liked a comment on length of healing to the degree that all people heal differently but he didn’t answer my question. He’s good at what he does.

I am very pleased with Dr Jones, he removed my gallbladder and on the follow up appointment to remove the drain we had a 3 pm appointment and we were called to his office 2 minutes before I love his punctuality , thank you Dr Jones for everything you did for me

Dr. Jones did an emergency sigmoidectomy for me 6 months ago. He has been thorough, providing great care and answering my questions at each follow up appointment.

100% recommend Dr. Jones! He is extremely nice and it is very evident in his demeanor and character that he is passionate about providing the best care possible for his patients. Last summer (2017) I began having excruciating abdominal pain and had vomiting etc that lasted about a week. After visiting about 5 doctors with no relief or explanation of my symptoms I ended up in the emergency room and was admitted for further examination. Luckily Dr. Jones was the on-call physician at the time I was admitted (about 12am or 1am). He immediately came to the hospital looked at my charts and knew exactly what to do. He performed an emergency exploratory abdominal procedure via laparoscopic measures and corrected the issue. I had a dramatic relief of pain after surgery and my surgery scars are barely visible!!! Dr. Jones made sure to follow-up with me several times after surgery. I have not had any issues since! My medical experience with Dr. Jones was so excellent, I recommended him for my… Dads hernia repair surgery that he had put off for several years. My dad's surgery went great as well and he has had no issues with his hernia repair since.

Dr. Jones made (an admitted mistake) during my first surgery and I had to return to his office to have the problem corrected. He forgot to tie off a vein or artery and what looked like a balloon started to swell out of the side of my leg. Ultimately the operation failed and he decided to try a different procedure and I had to return. After his staff prepped me for the next surgery he informed me that he needed to see a doctor about his thumb which was swollen and infected. After an hour he called to say he would not be returning. Looking back I cant believe I re-scheduled and during that surgery he took at least two cell phone calls (which were about tennis). To protect the sterile environment he had his nurse hold the phone to his ear. To sum up feeling I believe him to be conceded, egoistical, un-professional and has zero regard for your personal modesty. Prior to my last visit his staff had told me he took credit cards for my part of the bill and when I went to pay was told… there would be a hefty service fee for taking the card. I said I would send a check and he demanded I pay before leaving his office. I highly recommend you do not use Dr. Jones and travel to Sacramento if there are no other choices in the Grass Valley area.
