Dr. Donald Lauchlin Mcneil, MD

My daughter is in Riverside Methodist hospital with sepsis, an infection in her blood. She has 3 different bacteria's growing. She receives IVIG weekly for the past 12 years and will get it the rest of her life. My daughter was born with a primary immunodeficiency (Combined Immune Deficiency). Having her IVIG right now is critical to her healing. Dr. McNeil, my daughter's old immunologist, wrote in her chart that under no circumstances should she receive her IVIG treatment. Therefore, the doctors at Riverside will not go against him. The doctor Riverside Methodist hospital uses for immunology consultations is Dr Donald McNeil. He has bad history with my daughter. He was her doctor over 8 yrs ago. He and his wife own an infusion center that my daughter went to. His wife ran it. My daughter was going to have ankle surgery and found out she could do in home infusions. He was angry with her for leaving the center & fired her from his practice. He apparently holds grudges. My… Daughter's current immunologist has had to step in 2 other times, most recently 2 weeks ago. This time, yesterday, the 2 doctors ( current immunologist and consultant for Riverside)had words and my daughter's doctor told him to stay away from her because he's doing more harm to her. However, Dr. McNeil is not backing down. Even though he has not physically been in to seen my daughter.

I want to be very fair with this review. My first appointment I waited almost itwo hours before being seen by the doctor. 52 minutes in the waiting room 40 minutes in the exam room waiting to be seen. This was at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Two other patients sitting in the waiting room with me both told me that their appointments were for 3 o’clock. Once I got in Dr. McNeil told me I needed to see an infectious disease doctor. He did not offer any names but said he would send a referral. when I found someone. I looked up names and called in and spoke with Samantha only to be told that Dr. McNeil would like me to see someone of his choosing. He could have told me that before I did my homework looking up an infectious disease doctor. He did call In the referral with the doctor. Their office said they needed a diagnosis so Dr. McNeil‘s office staff Samantha said to me why don’t you consider getting a new urologist I did tell her that I would look into that but at no time did I say I was… not going to see the infectious disease doctor. So I am led to believe that they’re going to get me in with the infectious disease doctor I waited a few days and called the infectious disease doctor back and they said no they didn’t receive anything else from Dr. McNeil’s office. Samantha told me they were going to send over all the blood test and anything that the infectious disease doctor needed so I had to call back to Dr. McNeil’s office and speak to Samantha again. She tells me that no they didn’t send over the blood test or anything that the infectious disease doctor would need because they thought I was just going to get a new urologist. This is why I’m so upset with this whole thing is because this went on for weeks and then what happens I’m stuck with no referral to see the infectious disease doctor. I had to get a referral from my dermatologist. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing at this office.

Dr. McNeil spends time with me to understand how I feel and to design the best treatment for my condition. He really cares about his patients’ well-being. Recommend him highly!

I saw Dr. McNeil after visiting another allergy doctor that I had a terrible experience at. He is very freindly, takes interest in your concerns, expains everything in detail, and looks at what treatment option is the best for you. I highly recommend him.

Dr. McNeil is one of the most caring physicians I have ever met. He's been very helpful and educating regarding my asthma, allergies and other health conditions I have and how these health conditions can relate to my breathing issues. I really appreciate the times he takes with me. I have recommended Dr. McNeil on several occasions. On one occasion, they had run out of flu virus shots at their office and he arranged for me to get a flu shot at his upstairs office where they do research. I thought that was a plus!!!

My family doctor recommended Dr. McNeil because he is her Allergist too. I highly recommend him and will continue seeing him.

Dr. Donald Mc Neil is very excellent doctor. He found my allergy problem very quickly and guided me how care this problem. The staffs was really great they were very caring .

Dr. Donald Mc Neil there is no need of any introdction in medical. i recently concern with about my Allergy problem. they provide me excellent guidance and help me to overcome that problem. Their staffs and nurses are very helpful.
