Dr. Donald Unwin

I went in to see Dr. Unwin because I was having trouble seeing. I noticed that my sight was becoming blurry as I was at work staring at a computer as well as when I would be at home and would have to squint to see the TV guide. When I went in for my appointment I told him what was going on. Dr. Unwin was very thorough with me and explained basically that I just needed to get some glasses because of my age. I was happy with the service when I came through the door. The staff was friendly and I felt very welcomed. Since Iv had my glasses I have had less headaches and I can finally see! Thanks to Dr. Unwin I will definitely be back!

I have been am pt. of Dr Unwin since Dr. Green left. I have seen him 2 times. He a nice fellow, easy to talk to, however he didn't spend much time talking-to me about my diagnoses. Like I have been coming to see them for my Glaucoma and I should know everything about it...He is very short with an answer and sometimes finishing a sentence as he is walking out the door! The office ladys are nice and helpful but some are not very nice over the phone. They seem to busy to be kind. The wait time has improved significantly!

He came in examined my husband , dictated, and started to leave, told us we would have to see a retina specialist in two days and started to leave, did not introduce himself, we had to ask what was wrong, I ask if he could drive, "why not," we went to Dr because sudden onset blurry vision with dark lines. He did not say anything else about condition or what could have caused this, I ask another question and he answered with his back to us leaving room

I would not recommend Dr Unwin to anyone. His bedside manner is the worst I have ever experienced. I have never written a bad review about anyone but feel I had to on this one. The way he talks to and treats his patients is unexceptable. By the way staff strongly encouraged me to file a complaint I can only assume he is this way with everyone and needs to be reprimanded for his behavior. He does not comfort you or explain what he is about to do and just abruptly comes at your eye and gets angry and yells at you if you twitch or blink and there's nothing you can do because you're in a vulnerable position. I was ready to cry and angry by the time my surgery was over. At that point he was gone and I never saw him again.

I have cancer and the radiation treatments accelerated my cataracts. I went to Dr. Unwin because he was available. I was on the gurney about to be operated on when he screamed, "Stop looking at you toes. Look at the light." Sorry, I can't read minds, and dilated pupils don't make me want to look at light before I have to. Also, I paid $6,000 for Restore lens to have perfect vision. Unwin failed to tell me thst I had retinal cysts and will never have even good vision. I feel like he owes me an apology and $6,000.
