Dr. Douglas Carpenter, MD

I'm only reviewing the doctor, not his nurse nor his desk staff. I've been seeing Dr. Carpenter for about 4 years. This doctor is absolutely wonderfu!! I couldn't ask for a better doctor and I'm so thankful for him. He's very knowledgeable and courtous and kind. He explains things in language I understand. He takes time to LISTEN to what I'm saying. I can't say enough good things about him. If he stops taking my insurance I will change insurance to stay with him. I can't say this about any other doctor that I've ever seen except one and he is retired. My praises don't come easy, they must be earned. Trust me, Dr. Carpenter is one of the best.

First, I must comment on the professionalism and caring manner of this physician. Absolutely NO complaints in regards to the ability of this fine physician. My complaint: HIS NURSE! She is degrading in manner, rude, and does NOT follow up as she should. This woman is EVIL. period. I was impressed with the care Dr. Carpenter gave to my wife, but, after countless encounters with his "nurse" (she has no certification or licensure, just a girl off the streets he has trained) we were forced to change to a different M.D. Think about it; your interaction with the doctor is not that lengthy. Every patient needs to be confident that their needs are being addressed and relayed to the doctor. Unfortunately, this never happened. The "nurse" would take it upon herself to "forget" my calls and requests for help (my wife is a very ill person) and even at times, would HANG UP on me while I was asking her questions over the phone!! TRUST ME..this is WIDELY known by the community, THIS PLACE… IS NOTORIOUS FOR A RUDE OFFICE STAFF, but this girl takes the cake. As of now, we are seeing another doctor and are very happy with the switch.

Unfortunately, a doctor (& his nurse) cannot control the staff that makes the appointments or takes care of the business end of a medical practice. Dr. Carpenter is a wonderful family doctor that feels like part of your family.
