Was looking for a family doctor, I had 3 recommendations for Dr Lam. My wife and I are both glad we listened!

Dr Lam is not personable, but he does care. He is competent and probably above average overall. Remmember that he is a family practitioner - a generalist. That is what you want to have for a primary care physician, but you may need specialists as well. He has been my primary care physician for 25+/- years. You need to tell him your problems in detail and what you think should be done. He will mull it over and discuss it with you. He is not a probing physician, which he should do more of. He will want to treat most all of your problems himslef. That is good, but go to specialists whenever you have something that warrants such.

Dr. Lam did his job in diagnosing my child, however, he was not very personable. He made me feel like he was just trying to get out of there because it was near closing. I'm probably going to find us a new doctor.
