My first visit with Dr. Owens brought some perspective on why I am feeling the way I do. I am looking forward to additional visits and to getting back to being "normal"!

This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed a doctor online, but after my experience today I really felt it was important to let others know about my experience. Dr. Owens is literally my life saver. After experiencing a severely traumatic birth of my first child I’ve been experiencing panic attacks with little to no support from my OB. I desperately searched out a psychiatrist who could see me quickly. Finding Dr. Owens was literally the best answer to my prayers. I had a wonderful experience with his office staff and IT to set up telehealth. He was incredibly attentive and thoughtful in his assessment of my experience. Just having validation of what I had been through was therapeutic enough. If you are reading these reviews to try to decide whether or not to use Dr. Owens, please take my review into consideration. It was one of the best blessings I could have asked for during this fragile postpartum experience.

Dr. Owens is quite considerate, accommodating and professional. He actually listens to my concerns and thoroughly understands them before offering a prescription. The care I've received from him and his staff immediately improved my circumstances and outlook, thus I highly recommend Peachstate Psychiatric Services.

Awesome experience! Very professional, attentive to my questions and concerns. Office staff was very cordial. I will return for his top notch service!

He took forever to see me, only to not listen to anything I actually had to say, his nurse kept giggling at me, she made me feel so judged. If you do see him, don't allow her to be in the room, she will just sit there judging you and giggling. He made me feel like i did not mean anything to him, he spent more time in the hallway than he did with me. I have never felt so upset about a doctor before

If you ever want to feel WORSE about what you came to seek professional help for. This is the doctor for you.

Stay away. (PONZI SCHEME version of a Dr office). If you are looking to find a healthcare provider who has your best interest at heart. He's not the one. The front office staff is the only good thing about the office. It is very difficult to find not a good but just a decent mental health professional and psychiatrist. This office was the worst experience ever. I scheduled my appointment online a week in advance after not receiving any type of confirmation I contacted the office. They advised me to come in that day at 1:30pm. I waited in the waiting room with a lot of other patients(He's the only MD at this office). I waited 40 minutes until being called back.The Medical assistant weighs me and takes my blood pressure(most likely just so they can bill for it) she tells me to take a drug test. (another money hungry scheme). I refused. I go into a room with some guy asking me questions from an iPad (probably another scam so they can bill insurance). Asked to take a drug test again (so… they can make sure anything they gives me doesn't interact with something I am currently taking) LIESS theres absolutely no way you're going to get detailed drug test like that before the end of this office visit. Dr. Owens comes in STANDS UP the whole time and talks to me for 4-5 minutes thats being generous. Tells me to come back the following week. GIVES NO INSIGHT NO DIRECTION NOTHING! Put they billed my insurance 680.00 which is very HIGH. Its not an average or fair charge at all. I will not be returning I decided that when the initial visit concluded.

Not only do you wait at least 30 min past your apt time (if you can get them to call you back to make the apt), but he is so worried about insurance companies dinging him for prescribing medications that people actually need. This man is paranoid and extremely unprofessional. He gets confused about which patient is which....so odd for a MD. Do not recommend.
