Dr. Earl Fritz Braunlich, MD

Dr. Braunlich performed bi later total knee replacements on me 3/2013. I nearly died in surgery. Have records to prove this. I have been in constant pain from day one. I have been to OSU, UPMC & Joint Implant surgeons who ended up doing a revision on my right knee. Both knees were/are loose and were measured WRONG from day one according to Dr. at UPMC , top 10 in nation. I do not know what Braunlich did to me but I am now 58 and have been in misery for almost 5 years. No one has answers as to why I still have pain. He was disinterested when I returned to him. I am miserable.

I got injured at work it seemed like he wanted to sweep me under the rug more than anything else he recommended time off to let it heal yet put light duty on the papework contradictory attitude was unprofessional

My husband had bilateral knee replacement done. Dr. Braunlich did excellent job within 2 monthes my husband was walking from one end of mall to other with no pain.

WAS TREATED FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS WITH MENISCUS PROBLEMS THAT EVENTUALLY LED TO THE REPLACEMENTS. ONCE I MADE DECISION DR BRAUNLICH WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE ME IN 2 WEEKS. SURGERY AND RECOVERY WENT GREAT. ONE OF FEW DOCTORS WHO WILL DO BOTH KNEES AT THE SAME TIME. I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH MOBILITY AND RETURNED TO WORK IN 8 WEEKS. DR BRAUNLICH DOES SPEND TIME WITH HIS PATIENTS AND DOESN'T RUSH YOU OUT.

Dr. Braunlich used the wrong size hip replacement and tried to gerry-rig the lack of a good fit by packing something around it. The prothesis loosened and I had to have it revised. It was totally loose. Additionally, my leg after surgery was shorter than the leg attached to the hip that had not been operated upon.I had the hip revised by some other doctor and he was able to fix it.Prior to the surgery I asked him if he had the "inventory" to fit a guy my size. He assured me that he did. When I started having probelms he finally told me that he didn't have the best fit.?My advice is to get a second opinion before your let Dr Braunlich operate on you. Actually, my advice is to not let him operate on you.

staff: i think the staff is horrible, my husband needed and mri and when my insurance authorized it they didnt even call and tell him. He was notified by the mri facility asking him if he wanted to reschedule because he never showed up. After that was taken care of it was another two wks to get in to see him. Mind you my husband had been in pain for a total of 4wks. His staff is sour and not caring at all.

Dr. Braunlich made my 12-yr-old grandson's visit (with fractured elbow) a pleasant and cheery experience. Dr. B. is obviously loaded with expertise and is not shy about explaining the procedure leading to healing to patients of all ages. He has humor and humanity, what's not to love? He is an orthopedic gem and my grandson's only complaint was that he lacked glow-in-the-dark casting material! :-D

My overall experience with Dr. Braunlich and his staff was excellent. We got in very quickly and were treated with respect and compassion regarding our 8 year old son. The staff was very caring and also made many follow up calls. I highly reccommend Dr. Braunlich.

Dr. Braunlich was very caring and understanding to my 13 yr old son. This was the first time that my son ever had an injury and also the first time that he needed surgery and Dr. Braunlich explained everything to him and made him feel at ease with the whole experience. He is also an excellent surgeon and repaired his arm with as little trauma as was possible. I would recommend him to anyone, and I already have.

Dr. Braunlich and his staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this Doctor and his staff.
