Dr. Eduardo Henrique Ribeiro, MD

Dr. Ribeiro is highly knowledgeable, thorough, and shows authentic concern for his patients. I'd confidently recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent GP. Patients are seen on time and his staff is wonderful as well!

Maria was very helpful when I first called and explained the situation, she was able to get my husband in the same day. Other places had him waiting 2-3 weeks to get treated. Dr. Ribeiro was very nice, very straight forward and honest about my husbands' treatment. We were in and out of there within an hour.

Our time under Dr. Ribeiro's care has resulted in nothing but disappointment and frustration. For the second time this year, my daughter is very sick. The first time Dr. Ribeiro couldn't find out what was wrong with her, although she had been treated at other hospitals for severe repercussions to a spinal tap. To this day, he refers to the past incident as "migraines" and when recently told by my daughter that her pain and debilitation was a side effect of the fluid she had lost during the procedure, he commented, "well, that makes sense". His assistants are also extremely unprofessional. Besides ignoring calls from patients, which I have witnessed for myself (yes, they do put people on hold just because they are annoyed at the conversation), they do not follow through with retrieving necessary medical paperwork. Dr. Ribeiro's assistant, Maria, was supposed to request tests results from another hospital (not affiliated with the patient gateway network) my daughter had visited when… she fell ill at college. We asked Dr. Ribeiro's office to retrieve these results 5 months ago and are still waiting. My daughter has yet again fallen ill. After being treated in an emergency room in Washington DC, she was rushed home to be seen by her PCP - Dr. Ribeiro". During this visit, he drew blood and stool samples, which we agree were very necessary in diagnosing her. However, this morning we received the blood results online at patient gateway and my daughter found that her blood counts were abnormal. To ensure she understood what she saw on the screen, she called early in the morning and asked to speak with the doctor. At first, she was told she had to schedule an appointment, after explaining her situation to the receptionist she was told a message would be left for the doctor to call her. My daughter never received a phone call. The doctor has now left early for the day, which was known by the receptionist and the urgency of her situation was overlooked. Instead, she was told she has to wait till Monday, which is when she is supposed to be returning to DC for work. Although, she requested the paperwork from the ER she visited in DC be retrieved for the Dr's review, leaving a letter of permission to fax with Maria -following her visit yesterday, the paperwork still has not been handled as of today. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT THIS OFFICE!! Again, the staff is completely unprofessional. I have stood there on many occasions and heard them exasperate at someone calling, discuss putting someone on hold and dropping the call, or completely ignoring a patient caller. If you think you can be helped by these people, you are wasting your time. My daughter has trusted them with her health and gone through pain, until able to "self-diagnose" herself, or run to another specialist for help. Dr. Ribeiro is NO HEALTH PROFESSIONAL.

He shares great advice and insights, helped me control my high Triglycerides without medication. He is fast efficient and has a broad knowledge and a great sense of humor. I highly recommend Eduardo as a doctor.
