Dr. Edward Ernest Aston

Going to Dr. Aston for years. Good guy. Very competent. I would recommend him. (I have referred several family and friends to him.)

This doctor is rude. If you are looking for a dermatologist please do not go to him. He does not care about the needs of his patients. Does not listen to you and talks rude to you like you know nothing and he knows everything.

This guy is the type of doctor your worst nightmares are made of. Rude and arrogant and old. I came in for a mole removal and he sat there telling me that my acne scars were bad and it would not make a difference. No manners at all and he was rushing out the door as soon as he came in.

Long story short - I had went to 4 different doctors before coming to see Dr. Aston. 2- General Practice, 1- Dentist & 1- Oral Surgeon. I had a lesion on my bottom lip for over a month that would not go away. One doctor put me on a prescription thinking I had a virus which wasn't the case. The other doctor told me I needed a biopsy because he said I could have oral cancer and referred me to a dermatologist (which I could not get in for almost 2 months because I'm a new patient) so I went to an Oral surgeon who wanted to do a biopsy as well because he was thinking the same thing - Oral Cancer. Needless to say I was a bit of a wreck trying to find a dermatologist for another opinion but none could see me right away in my surrounding area, so I looked a bit further and found Dr. Aston who could see me the next day. He looked at my lip and right away said I did not need a biopsy and that it was cheilitis. So he gave me some topical ointment and other instructions on how to care for it and… now... this is the 4th day and the lesion is 95% gone! Iam so happy that I found him! You bet I'll be going back and my family if we need to.Signed, ~ A Happy Patient!

I have now been to Dr. Aston five times for a few different problems. I will not be going back. The AVERAGE wait time I had was 30 minutes, the longest I had to wait was 55 minutes at one point. Although Dr. Aston knows his stuff and was able to tell me what I had, which another dermo wasnt able to do, he made me feel like I wasnt important and always just took a quick glance and then told me what he thought and rushed out of the room. I then had to ask his nurse my questions and she would always have to go ask him and come back. I didnt like that about ALL of my visits. I also had to call in multiple times for clear instructions for medications. But now to the office staff. They seem very nice when you walk up, but having worked in a medical office before, I know a fake smile and a standard customer service attitude when I see it. Not to mention I have made about 6 different calls to schedule appointments, left messages at night and NEVER got a call back. I even mentioned this to Dr.… Aston at my appointments and nothing has changed. After my last three messages and them never being returned, I wont be going back to this office.

80% of the time I spent with my appointment/check-up was with his assistant.Clueless about my concerned medical issue.Since he was clueless and inconsistent. He recommended Vinegar Soaks (vinegar + water)for my affected area and an ointment.And thats it.Billed way to much for just a crappy Vinegar solution.

good doctor. His surgery skills are not the best. Good with liquid nitrogen. Lacking in the use of chemicals to fight skin cancer.

I hate to give a poor review of this doctor. However, he has terrible bedside manner and was rather rude with my concerns. I understand that he is a doctor but he was in and out of the office in 5 minutes.
