Dr. Edward Joseph Eyring

I really hope Dr Eyring is not practicing again. This man removed 6 1/2 inches of my colon due to diverticulitis and left me bleeding internally, I was bruised from under my breasts all the way to my thighs , let me mention this was a laparscopic procedure I was the color of an eggplant. I had a huge lump under the skin by my belly button and when I got into the warm shower at the hospital, blood gushed out of my incision. I ended up coding and woke up to find I had recieved a blood transfusion of 2 units of blood and a headache that felt like my head would explode. I have had nothing but issues since, I have had to go back into surgery with another colon rectal surgeon and she told me the reason I have been having pain and more issues is because my previous surgeon put my colon back together incorrectly Dr Joe Eyring is my previous surgeon. I highly recommend you do not let this man perform surgery on you if you value your life, I almost lost my life because of this man and am… still living with problems because of him. The scariest thing is my surgery was done during the time he was being investigated and I had no idea of what he had done to many others and the fact that other Dr's are referring people to him. I didnt find out until years later that he was under investigation and supposedly had lost his license to practice. It's too late for me to sue for injuries, but speaking out could save someone else the pain and agony I went through due to Dr Eyring. I only found out about the problems he caused me and others from a provider I worked for that told me they couldn't talk about it, but I could look it up online, I was mortified that I let this man do surgery on me. I also had requested an anesthesiologist that I worked with and trusted to be there with me and Dr Eyring and his anesthesiologist he always worked with refused to allow my requested anesthesiologist to take my case, this is probably the anesthesiologist that left the review above on how great Dr Eyring is. He is not great, I am not the first he has left bleeding out, another patient lost his life , I was lucky to have pulled through. I want to rate him at a NEG 0, but had to choose one star to submit my review

Attempted to get me interested in a multi level marketing product years ago while in his office for an appointment, seemed confident and competent, suggested a colon resection surgery to get rid of persistent pain, I didn't feel comfortable with it, but was desperate to get to the root of the problem, it was a tough recovery and it did not help with the pain, I continue to have the same pain. In the end he was confident he knew what was wrong and how to correct it, he was wrong. Totally unnecessary surgery and I deal with the consequences some 15 years later.

Botched my surgery. He ruined my life. Horrible bedside manner...ill tempered and condescending. I don't know if he still practices medicine but he shouldn't be allowed to. Search Google for his DOPL issues.

He messed my daughters life up. . She had two almost fatal abcesses and they took out 10 ounces of septic pus that went through her blood stream all because he sent her home from the hospital with these. She now lives with an ileostomy and has chronic pain. He was so arrogant and told us not to go to another Dr. because he was the best.

Arrogant and has no bedside manner. My son nearly died because of him. The nurses in the hospital put my son in ICU because he wouldn't. He thinks everyone else is wrong. This is not only my opinion people he worked with in the hospital were treated badly by him. I noticed he is going by he's middle name Joe. Red flag. Also the TV channel 4 did a report on his fraud.

Amazing man! Very knowledgeable. Communicates well. Can't wait to work with him.

Sent me home with Abcesses, Blood Clots and Pancreatitus. Spent over 45 days back in the Hospital. 3 surgeries at Mayo to correct...

Dr. Eyring botched my rectal surgery; narcissist; AVOID HIM!

Dr. Eyring was very personable, thurough and helpful. He saved my life from a bout with several bowel blockages. I would reccomend this man to everyone. Thank you

I am really sad that Dr.Eyring retired! He was able to do a surgery in one step verses 2 or 3. It was life changing. Not a lot of people get only one surgery!! I am healthy and happy and very thankful that he was able to do my surgery before he retired! He will be missed.
