After surgery by this doctor I neeeded 2 additional surgeries to repair the damage and never returned to work. I was granted Social Security Disability dating to the day of the first surgery by this MD. I was left emotionally, physically and financially devastated.

What is a surgoen? - as a supposedly intelligent, articulate, knowledgeable reviewer wrote?!?

I have never met Dr. Snyder, however, when I was in the Hosp having my ovary removed, my appendix was discovered to be full of stones and completely calcified and wrapped around itself in adhesions. Dr. Snyder performed the appendix surgery and without complication.. I sent him a thank you note and am deeply grateful for Dr. Snyder

I was seen in the emergency room where he was the on call surgeon at the time so I did not have a choice as to who my doctor was for this occasion. I had seen many doctors because of my injury. I stayed in the hospital for a few nights. All of the other doctors who I saw and who helped me through my recovery were very compassionate and friendly to me and my family members who were with me. While Dr Snyder was not. He showed up at his convenience and would not tell any of the nurses or staff when he would be there to give results from tests or give any information on when I would be discharged or moved to other floors. I do not believe his bedside manner was appropriate at all. I felt like asking questions would inconvenience him and did not feel like he truly cared about my condition. He spent about 3-4 mins in the room talking to me about my condition before he ran off. I was not happy with my experience and would not recommend him.

Dr. Snyder was called to Hinsdale Hospital at 11:30 pm on a Saturday night to possibly operate on me. He stayed until 5 a.m. and said that he would operate only if there was no other alternative, and that he preferred not to operate until there was better information from CT scans and X-Rays. His professionalism spared me a long and painful recovery. He was very attentive during my entire stay in the hospital (4 days) and gracious to my family and me. I respect and recommend him most highly.
