Always a pleasure to see Dr. Layne because he and the staff are very warm and informative

I went to Dr Layne's office because its website depict him as a noble and experienced doctor - my experience told me he definitely is experienced, but he is NOT noble for sure. And here is why: - First of all, after long wait time, I was seen by his assistant Roberto Springer who is not a doctor; Mr Springer spent half of the time with me speaking/repeating to a voice to text converter for keeping notes which was very annoying; Also he exaggerated what could've been wrong without any substantial evidence, and just kept pushing me to do an endoscopy (after consulting other doctor later it's not needed); He also kept asking me to do a colon cancer screening with him although I was only 30 years ago and without any family history or symptoms. It felt like he was more a salesman. And then the last 5 min, Dr Layne came out, and just repeated what Mr Springer pushed for; - Also I paid my copay first thing during my visit but the office sent another bill trying to double bill.

New Patient....I called to make appt Dr available the next day excellent so I thought . They lady who answered the phone said that I can see Dr Layne the next day ..The next day ....no Dr Layne.... just an assistant ...had endoscopy scheduled ...Dr Layne again no call no show .....he`s not reliable .and he`s dishonest he shows no care for your well being. No call no show for endoscopy is unacceptable ...I arrive for procedure at 5am for a 6am appt waited until 6:55am then gave up and left ...He never even called to offer explanation and has made no attempts to explaine or offer courtesy follow up .....choose this Doctor at your own risk ! I would never recomend this Doctor to anyone ....HE DOES NOT CARE !

I went to this appointment terrified! I am an Army veteran with PTSD, so when I say terrified I really mean it. The staff were all warm and inviting. Starting with the nurse who take your vitals. Her pleasant conversation and knowledge of nutrition really intrigued me. The doctor came to get me from the waiting area quickly. He got a detailed medical history and asked how I felt and if I had any questions. I told him I was nervous. He took time putting me at ease. He explained everything to me very thoroughly and in terms i could understand. I felt like I was talking to a highly educated friend about some serious personal matters. Check out sealed the deal. Dorhonda and the Beautiful Lady sitting beside her were excellent. Dorhonda remembered details from our phone conversation about a month ago. That impressed me because their office was pretty busy. As for the other office professional, she was very detail oriented and gave me meticulous prep instructions. All I can say is WOW! I'm… very hard to please and I am aware of this. The consummate professionals at Dr Laynes office have exceeded my expectations.

I had a rarer disease: hard to diagnose for 2.5 years (Achalasia). I had seen over 100 different types of doctors (multiple of which were gastrointerologists. Don't go to Atlanta Gastrointerology Associates. They are terrible). No one could tell me what it was, thus, no one could help me. I was told I was crazy, and needed to see a psychiatrist because the doctors couldn't figure out why I was clearly sick. I was almost bedridden, and was getting worse by the time I saw Dr. Edward A Layne, MD. He figured it out when no one else could. Since then, it has been confirmed, and treated via thoracic surgery. Now I am far, far better. It, honestly, might not be an exaggeration to say that Dr. Layne litteraly saved my life. (THANK YOU Dr. Layne!) He has been in the practice long enough to have seen a lot of things, and thus has many years of experience to pull from that younger doctors might not. What ACTUALLY matters when you go to a doctor? Getting cured right? The bottom like is Dr. Layne… gets results!

I am in love with Dr. Layne. He has always LISTENED to me sense my first visit. I had a multitude of symptons, and one by one, he has fixed. We are still working together to resolve the rest. But one very important thing he has taught me, is not to just 'take a pill' for my problems. My primary gave me high blood pressure meds, lipitor, and an anxiety meds. Just take them. Dr. Layne explained to me that they should of explored the reasoning behind my high blood pressure and chols and anxiety, rather than just putting me on meds for the rest of my life. So he is working with me on quitting smoking, losing weight and what to eat. And other ways to lower my stress. He is an astonishin man. My best friend went with me to one of my appointments and after she said "I wish he could be my primary, or that I had GI issues just so he can be my doctor". Enough said. But seriously, when you go to a doctor who loves to prescribe, remember, there are other ways to get your health back. And there is… quite a wait to get in, but you will be thankful once you go in, because he truly dedicates his time to YOU.
