Dr. Edward L Vantassel, DO

Dr VanTassel did an excellent job on tendon reconstruction of my left thumb. My experience with him and his team was excellent. They were all professional and caring. I am very happy with the results.

Went in for a sports injury and the doctor spent very little time with me and didn’t explain his diagnosis at all. He barley looked at the injury and I had to badger him to get any information out of him.

This Doctor will give it to you straight. He talks to you about the procedure and what the procedure involves. He doesn't waste your time or his valuable time. He did an excellent job with my total knee replacement and will do the other one when I feel the time is right. He does not sugar coat the operation. A very straight shooter and an excellent surgeon. All of the support staff are friendly, courteous and very helpful.

I went in for my knee, I had a meniscus tear, and floating bone around my knee cap. He was courteous, nice, knew what he was doing. It had taken me 2 years to get in to just see him for consult, so he helped speed it up to my surgery. To my 15 year old self he was "cool". There wasn't much follow up after my physical therapy, but my insurance wouldn't have allowed it anyways, OHP and all that. He recently went in a poked around in my grampa's shoulder, he's straight forward, tells you what you need to hear, and he knows what he's doing. By far one of my favorite doctors.

Dr. Van Tassel was the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen in my life. I was in a dirt bike accident and told I had a broken ankle and broken shoulder. I was told to follow up with Dr. van Tassel. When I saw him he told me 3 times that he didn't care if my shoulder was broke or not. He was trying to explain that the treatment is the same for a broken shoulder or not but after hearing him say he didn't care if my shoulder was broke or not 3 times, I didn't care to hear the rest of his explanation. He was rude, arrogant and lacks any kind of compassion at all. I told him about some homopathic medicine the nurse at urgent care told me about and that it was really helping me and he made rude remarks concerning that medicine and the nurse that I had saw. A complete waste of my time.

dr van tassel listens closely a each appt and explains and answers all questions so i understand what is going on. never rushes me along and has a very pleasant personality and sense of humor. has done 3 surerys or me over the years and have absolutely no complaints. feel very comfortable at each visit and am confident i am in excellent care.
