Dr. Elaine Eustis, MD

I had a partial hysterectomy and when I was seen by Dr Eustis she told me I only needed to come in for physicals every three years, so three years later I try to make an appointment with her. I was told she was not accepting new patients. I explained what I had been told that I was following her advice, so why was I a new patient. They gave me an appointment four months away. I was happy to get that, only for them to call me a month later to tell me Dr Eustis would not see me. I could go to the other Dr in her office. I was running late for work and I told the person who called to just make the appointment and let me know when , but I thought they would probably cancel that one too. I have yet to get that appointment. I hope she did not give me false information about wait three years between visits, I guess I'll find out when I find a new GYN.

She’s a wonderful GYN doc that has made my quality of life post menopause normal. A professional who is caring and competent. Highly recommended!

It is interesting to read these reviews. I almost think that sometimes they are written by people that have a personal affiliation with other gynecologists in MP that aren 't as busy. There is a reason Dr. Eustis is busy. She's good! It is also interesting that healthgrades has her classified wrong. No OB. She is strictly a gynecologist that specializes in balancing hormones. I was one of her first patients here and have recommended her to at least 20 people. Everyone I know loves her. She doesn't charge a"fee" of 3,000 or more for these services as many bio-identical hormone doctors do. She has a great way of managing her patients. She starts you out coming quarterly until you get your hormones in balance. Now I am twice a year. She listens. I had been to so many lazy uninformed "doctors " before Dr. Eustis. They were perfectly fine prescribing birth control pills with progestin to " manage " hormonal issues. Total garbage. Be careful what you read in these reviews. … It is simply not true and I am suspicious. There is a lot of jealousy out there amongst other doctors. She is simply awesome. Love her!!!

Dr. Eustis is the best gynecologist I have ever been seen by, I am 51 and have seen quite a few over the years. I have recommended her to numerous women. I am totally confident in her knowledge and treatment. I feel like I can question her without her getting defensive. She is also extremely caring. However she booked quite far out, so if you need to see her urgently I don't think it would be easy to get an appointment. With regards to waiting times, my first appointment I had to wait over an hour and I was tempted to leave, but I am glad I didn't. Subsequent appointments I have had to wait 30 minutes or less. Once when I made a mistake about my appointment time and showed up 2 hours early and I was still seen within a short time.

As an established patient of Dr. Eustis, she refused to see me when I was having an extrememely serious situation...I was hemorrhaging vaginally (I was post-menopause, so this most definitely was not a heavy menstrual flow.) I was being seen by an oncologist/hematologist at the time and she even called Dr. Eustis' office to get me in, and they told me their first opening was 3 months away! I am also aware of 2 other women who experienced this same treatment from Dr. Eustis. If you want a doctor that cares about you, do not see Dr. Elaine Eustis!

Dr. Elaine Eustis is a great doctor that I do recommend and that's not something I do lightly! I've not had overall good experiences with other doctors. She's attentive, follows through, and although she didn't solve my problem, she did give it her best! Apparently I need an Endo specialist which in this area is apparently VERY hard to obtain an appointment. Dr. Eustis works with the bio-identical hormones which is the only way I'd go and she did get me in balance. Unfortunately, that wasn't the root of the problem. But on this matter she did a wonderful job!
