Dr Elissa Gropen

Was such an unprofessional experience, im in shock. I had been seen by their PA a couple years ago and she was fabulous. Called a few weeks ago to make an appt for a skin issue and made my appointment for the afternoon because I work during the day. Came in for my 3:30 appt and waited 20 mins to be called up and told that my appt time was 10am that day, not at 3:30. I quickly explained to the receptionist that was incorrect because I explicitly told the women on the phone that it had to be an afternoon appt. the receptionist walks away back to doctors area, I'm guessing to speak with Doctor. The receptionist came back to tell me that the doctor is "done" for the day and running very behind so she will NOT see me today and that I could reschedule! Right, like I'm going to reschedule just for a similar instance to happen and have my time disrespected. No apology, no explanation, just sent away like an annoyance. Think twice before you ever use this doctor or her office. See someone else… who actual respects your time.

Dr. Gropen is very knowledgeable. She answers all my questions and recognizes the various moles and spots for what they are. She is skillful. I have been to several dermatologist through the years, and she is one of the best if not the best. Also, she is unfailing courteous and kind. She treats me with respect. She never seems in a hurry and she listens.

Dr. Gropen is kind, courteous, and makes you feel comfortable. Also fixed my eczema. Yay!

Dr Gropin and very nice and so is her PA. I have been coming there for years and in the past 2-3 years my husband and I have seen quite a decline in her ancillary staff. The front office people seemed detached, uninterested and downright rude at times. The LVN Buffy has gotten quite an ego and has a condescending uncaring attitude. I know she was furthering her education and now appears to have an over the top opinion of herself for being just and LVN. I am sorry to have to write this because I like and respect Dr Gropin but her employees are doing her no favors. I hope she is not too nice to do something about it. After all, it is us the patients who pay all of their salaries. I hope this opinion will be seen by someone in that office who can take action to turn things around. Thank you

Dr. Gropen is the absolute best dermatologist I have seen. Her professionalism, attitude, and concern for patients just overwhelms you.

I've been going to Dr. Gropen for over 10 years now. The staff is wonderful. The office is beautiful and clean. Dr. Gropen takes such good care of me.

I have been going to see Dr. Gropen for years. Anette Lecair, PA-C is very knowledgeable and it is not common to see the PA twice in a row. It is so sad that when someone doesn't want to pay their bill they can write hateful and misleading reviews. Honestly, she is the best.

I was very surprised to see the negative reviews. Dr. Gropen and her staff are very caring, concerned and friendly. My children and I have been goin to Dr. Gropen for several years. The PA is wonderful and very knowledgable. The back office staff is very prompt in returning calls and the receptionists are more than welcoming. In my opinion Dr. Gropen is one of the only few doctors who still care for their patients as a person not a dollar sign. I would not recommend any other dermatologist for my family and friends.

Dr. Gropen is in fact a sweet person. However, she does not seem competent as a doctor and many times I am educating HER on the medication she is prescribing to me. The office staff is extremely rude. The Indian girl that calls me back to weigh me never even says hello and the nurse acts like I am wasting her time if I ask her questions. The receptionist is either in a really good mood, or in a really bad mood, so you just never know. I feel very uncomfortable coming to this office and many times leave in tears because I feel so unheard. In addition, my office visit costs vary drastically and when I call to discuss my concerns with the person in charge of billing, the receptionist instead looks at my file and tells me that is just how it is. When I demand to leave a message with the billing person, I am not called back. I recently got a new referral for a different dermatologist and I really hope this one is better than Dr. Gropen.

I was so happy to find a dermatologist who wasnt interested in selling me a laser package or a breast aug! Front desk was very sweet. Their rules about filling out your paperwork are pretty firm but overall I really enjoyed it, I highly recommend this dr and her pa Anette stellar! Really awesome
