Dr. Elizabeth Reed Burchard, MD

Dr. Burchard is right to the point. I love how she doesn't sugarcoat anything to me. She is completely honest and a good listener. She helped me with getting an endocrinology referral, when my primary doctor took over a month. Absolutely wonderful. Very happy I switched to her.

If you like waiting for over 45 min for your appt and then have a quick,rushed,dismissive conversation with a doctor then this one is for you. Every appt is rushed if it is even with her- often times it is with a midwife and she is no where to be found. Physically saw her 3 times throughout my entire high risk pregnancy only to find out from a midwife that the baby had no heartbeat at 37 weeks. Even better, the midwife told me in the a hallway waiting room chair with people walking by listening. If this sounds like an experience you would like to have then i highly recommend her and the entire unremarkable practice.

She was like a whirlwind. I wish I had changed doctors while I was pregnant but I was scared to. She’s smart and knows what she is doing but there is zero compassion for the patient. She might see 100 pregnant women a day but for someone who is having their first baby she does not explain ANYTHING. Comes in drops a bomb and walks out! No other way to put it! I didn’t have a smooth pregnancy (obviously no fault of hers) however she didn’t make it any easier... she scheduled my induction for the week of her vacation then never made any attempt to contact me or see me when I had to come back even after an emergency c section... if you are on your 3rd or 4th pregnancy and it’s extremely smooth she would be great otherwise it was the worst 9 months of my life. In fact the whole practice was awful but that’s another story!

I have had three babies with Dr. Burchard and she did a great job with all three! She has great expertise and I always feel confident and reassured when I see her. I was lucky she was on for two out of my three kids and really feel she made the birthing process go as smoothly as possible.

Ever since I became 27 weeks pregnant I started experiencin a great deal of pain from my stomach to my mid and upper back. My swollen essential in my legs and feet we getting worse. Every time I went on for an urgent check up, it was always with a midwife or another obgyn. No one addressed my pain an told me everything was normal for pregnancy. My pain was extremely unbearable that I even left work and went to the ER. And still I was told everything was normal for pregnancy. Ithe finally hit my 1 month appointment with Dr. Buchard. I made a 2 page list if all I wanted to address with her. However when Dr. Buchard came into the room, she sighed when I told her everything was NOT fine. She listened and cut me off, the whole time. Never cared to fully listen to what my symptoms were she then told me to hold on and came back with slips for physical therapy and a maternity belt. I was not being listened to and never even got to my list if question and concerns and my symptoms. This was… a 2 min consult, just like all my other visits with Dr. Buchard, every consukt was 2 mind. I would NOT recommend her for ANYONE. She is one of those doctors who are only good if your having a smooth no issues pregnancy. But if you're having issues like me, forget it, she makes it known that she does not have the time of day for you. I also forgot to mentioned that when she came back into the room with the prescription, I started crying saying I think it's something internal. Dr. Buchard started laughing telling me to CONVINCE her on why I thought it was internal. As if I've questioned her expertise. Like I saud, she is only goof if you're having a good pregnancy other then that, I'd be prepared to be laughed at and told that everything is normal and live with the pain.
