Dr. Eran Matalon

Helpful, kind, knowledgeable...

Dr. Eran Matalon does not even deserve to have a star by his name. He is a complete imbecile and should be banned from seeing patients. He most likely received his medical license and degree by $Daddy$ paying for it. He comes off as a pleasant fellow, however he is very un attentive to his patients. He takes personal calls on his personal cell phone while being with patients in examination rooms. His friendly demeanor, and socially pragmatic disposition make him a well liked guy, and I believe that out of the office he very well may be. However his rating as a doctor is beyond terrible. He pays no attention to patients needs. He does not listen to the words that a patient is telling him. He does not ever do a full examination as he should do. He is always in a rush to get out of the exam room to see his next patient, yet he is always late for scheduled appointments. Most likely due to the fact that he is too busy sitting in his office playing or talking on his cell phone. His… ethics, well he has none. His bed side manner is not what it should be of a doctor. He likes to hurdle patients in like sheep being castrated. Fits as many in as he can in a day, to see you for the 5 minutes that your lucky to see him, than bills you, or your insurance for God knows how much, for practically doing absolutely nothing except saying hello. If you have a problem that you need to see a specialist, or someone other than Dr. Matalon because your issue is beyond his capabilities, neither he nor his staff make the referral for you. They give you the name of the Doctor you should see, and tells you to say that you were referred by him. You call another doctor and they ask why you are calling and not the Doctor or his office staff so they can give a reason why you are being referred. Most of the time, you have to call back, and try to get someone at Dr. Matalons office to explain to them that they need to send over the referral. It makes a big waste of time for everyone involved. If you have any type of issue with pain, wether it be chronic or acute, Dr. Matalon is definitely not the doctor for you. He will prescribe you motrin, or tell you to take over the counter Ibuprofen, or Tylenol, totally disregarding or treating your pain. He will tell you that he is unable to prescribe pain medication, or will prescribe you a miniscule amount. Most likely he will tell you to see a pain specialist, and again, you will have to waste time scheduling your own appointments and making calls back and forth because of his incompetency. He is one of those type doctors that cares more about himself, and his license, and making himself look good rather than wanting to help someone. The more prescriptions a doctor writes for pain medications, the more they are looked at to see if the prescriptions are valid. Now there are people who fake injuries and lie, but there are also people who do need these medications. Rather than get on the radar so to speak, he would rather not prescribe pain medications, because he knows if he gets on the radar, more issues about him will be found out. If your looking for a doctor, a good doctor, one who will help you if you really need it, look elsewhere. If you want to waste your co pay, your money, or your insurance companies money and fatten this guys wallet and bank account, go see him. His persona of niceness will draw you in, but in the long run when something goes wrong and you need your doctor he will turn his head. That is a fact. Take my advice or learn it yourself.
