Dr. Eric Howard Franks, MD

I have been seeing him since the early 2000s. He has been treating me with osteoarthritis in both knees. Up until now all has been fine. However I called to get an appointment to see him to get more Synvics ijections and was told he is no longer with Peninsula Associates and they no longer give Synvisc injections!!! Now what do I do? I do NOT want knee replacement surgery!

Saw Dr. Franks for the first time recently. Was a bit concerned after reading so many negative reviews. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice and thorough he was. He noted my injury via my MRI, gave me a cortisone shot, will give me another in a different location if this does not work and may need surgery at some point. He explained things and showed me pictures so that I could understand the entirety of the problem.

Rude and incompetent ! Please see another doctor. Despite an mri and mra he denied I had injury and instead stated I had a personality problem. He prescribed a TX plan and he didn't follow it. At least I can be thankful I didn't have to watch his video. This man is a joke and has a God complex! I finally sought a second opinion. Don't wait as long as I did find a different practitioner.

A Friday appointment and eleven days later the MRI has not been scheduled. I know the voicemail message by heart ... "it may take up to 24 hours before I return your call"...not acceptable!! Exam room floor was filthy, staff was having way to much fun and not professional. Compared to other ortho exams, Dr. Franks did'nt gieve my knee much of an exam. Time for another doctor!

Dr. Frank did a shoulder (rotator cuff) operation onb my left shoulder. On my first return visit after the operation, when I expressed concerns as to the progress and results of the operation..Dr. Franks became what I would call very defensive..when I was checking out and attempting to set up my next appointment was told that they would call me as the appointment calendar was not three months ahead as of yet. They never called..and here two years later after months of physical therapy..I do not has anywhere near acceptable usage with that arm and shoulder.

DR. FRANKS SEEMS A LITTLE "COLD" AND "DISTANT" COMPARED TO MOST OF THE DOCTORS AT PENINSULA ORTHO. I'M NOT THAT COMFORTABLE ASKING HIM QUESTIONS SO I'D PREFER TO SEE HIS ASSISTANT. HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH DR. FRANKS' MEDICAL CARE; JUST DON'T RELATE TO HIS PERSONALITY.

Dr Franks listened to me and mad me feel like he cared about my shoulder problem. He developed a treatment plan for me which is really working.
