Succinctly stated easy office from the initial phone call to the end of the visit. Staff wonderful , doctor is efficient , very competent and cares. Thank you for a good experience.
I was referred to Dr. Freeman from the hospital ER after injuring my back. I was greeted by a pleasant voice on the phone. I was seen the same day, the waiting room was clean and the staff was nice. I was taken into a room within 30 minutes and then seen by Dr. Freeman. My diagnosis was lower back pain and Dr. Freeman was thorough and personable. He treated me very conservatively and I got better within a couple of weeks. I was very happy with my experience.
I was in the emergency room Wednesday with my son who broke his wrist. The doctor told me he would splint the wrist and i could follow up with an orthopedist the next day. I asked him to call dr freeman who was the on call doctor and he came to the er within 20 minutes and took care of my son. He explained everything and made us comfortable. I have since heard that several of my friends are his patients and all are very happy with him as well.
Had a very good experience with Dr. Freeman. I broke my foot and his office was very accommodating and efficient. Dr Freeman was caring, thorough and provided great care.
Dr Freeman preformed shoulder labrum surgery on me. Very successful results. Office is very good and he is a caring, nice doctor.
I called this office on monday morning after a fall. I was greeted with a very pleasant voice who welcomed me to come right over. I waited in this busy yet efficient office for 15 minutes and saw Dr. Freeman. He showed great compassion. We reviewed the X-rays of my shoulder and saw a fracture. He not only took the time to explain my situation to me but also ordered an immediate CT scan and got me an appointment that morning. He saw me a second time that day and luckily I didn't need surgery. Thanks Dr. Freeman for making this easy and easing my anxiety. You are not only a terrific doctor but you care about the patient!!!
My 10 year old broke his arm, we were referred to Dr. Freeman by our pediatrician. After speaking to my wife over the phone the day before, we were instructed to come to his office at 7:30 am. The ENTIRE staff was very friendly and courteous. The lady at the front desk went over the paperwork very quickly and made sure we were seen by the Dr. right away. The nurses were friendly and they made sure to explain to us what was going on. Dr. Freeman took his time with us to explain to my son what happened to his arm, what needed to be done, how long it will take to heal...Dr. Freeman even spend some time talking football with us. Best team possible for such an early morning appointment.
I had an acl reconstruction in the city last year and it failed within 2 months. My surgeon was difficult and blamed the failure on me. I asked my primary doctor for a referral and he sent me to Dr. Eric Freeman. I had a revision surgery by Dr. Freeman 3 months ago and I am doing well- he is an excellent surgeon. Besides this he is caring, always available and reachable, and his office is spectacular. No need to go into the city for the best care- trust me!
Saw Dr Freeman as an emergency last week. I was referred by the Mercy emergency room. His office was accommodating from the start and he was very patient with me and answered all questions. His care was great and I highly recommend.
I am very pleased with dr freeman. His office is very efficient. He is responsive and caring and I was not a number like in some of the other big surgical groups. Very hands on and really tried to avoid surgery until last resort.
Contacted the doctor Tuesday night after my son fell. He arranged for the emergency room to facilitate our visit. He saw us in the emergency room and was terrific and spoke appropriately with our son. Bedside manner was great and very professional. We are pleased.
Excellent doctor. Nice office. Good demeanour and bedside manner. Very conservative and never pushes surgery.
Dr Eric Freeman is an Excellent Doctor, he operated on my right arm and within a few days I was able to use my arm, I healed perfectly and within the time he said I would, I have very little to almost no scars, I am perfectly happy and would recommend him to my friends, family and anyone who is in need of a good Doctor. He is also very pleasant, he is very good at what he does.
I am very pleased with the mannerism of the entire staff but most of all I must highly commend Dr Freeman for been in office so early in the morning and making sure his patients are been attended to with accuracy, politeness , courteous and the best of all professionalism.
I saw dr. Freeman Monday morning after a horrible experience in another doctors office. My 10 yo son had broken his ankle and the other office demanded cash payment because my paediatricians office was closed and I couldn't get a referral. I came to dr. Freemans office and the staff helped me, my son was seen without referral and received the best care. Dr freeman spent a lot of time with us and explained my sons fracture was on the growth plate and would be watched closely. I feel very lucky to have come to this office.
My mother was in emergency room at mercy with a hip fracture. Dr Freeman came into emergency room at night, helped her get admitted and was caring and very helpful.
Dr. Freeman was in a rush from the moment he entered the examination room to check my fractured ankle. After copleting his brief exam., I started to ask him important questions that I needed to be answered,; however, he was already out the door running to the next pt. I hopped out of the room trying to catch up with him, asking him to give me a moment to answer a few questions. He continued walking with his back to me saying that he was going to the next patient. I have 2 other friends who had the identical experience with him. When I shared this with the receptionist, she stated that he was always in a rush. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DR. FREEMAN TO ANYONE!
Just operated on my knee. Great result, easy office to deal with
My son broke his ankle at camp last week. I called Dr Freeman's office and even though I was not a patient the doctor called back that day. He had the xrays emailed to him and went out of his way to help even though I wasnt an existing patient. His office is clean, employees cheerful and his medical expertise is terrific. Most important he is not pompous and is very nice!
When I came to the office I was treated quickly there was nice staff and I thought that I would never be able to be in and out and dr freeman is a great doctor he takes care of you
My mother fell yesterday at 2:30 in the afternoon. I was given Dr. Freeman's name by a friend and I didn't want to go to an emergency room or quick facility. I called his office and spoke to Jackie his receptionist and I was told to come right over. His staff was very warm and my mother who was in terrible pain was taken in within 15 minutes. Dr Freeman and his PA Chris were terrific and they had to change the position of my mother's wrist that was brokern. Everything was explained and she is much better now. Thank you.
Probably the worst doctor I have ever been too. The waiting area is over crowded and smells. The staff is rude . You wait almost an hour, for a 5 min visit w the doctor, who he doesn't even touch you to see what's wrong. He brings out a tape recorder, says some mumbo jumbo, and leaves.
Plain and simple Dr. Freeman is all about doing what's best for his patients. I saw another orthopedist first who said I had to have surgery. I saw Dr. Freeman and he treated me conservatively and I have done great. Scary that there are doctors that want to operate for no reason. See Dr. Freeman he does the right thing!
People say all the time you need to leave Long Island for the best. I Beg to differ. My son tore his acl playing basketball last year. We saw 5 different orthopedic doctors and chose Eric Freeman. From the he greeted us on the first visit to the final post operative visit 2 weeks ago he has been tremendous. He is hands on , personally seeing us every visit, very personable and an excellent surgeon. My son played his senior year in college basketball averaging 20 points a game only 8 months after surgery. Thank you to this wonderful doctor.
We have been using Dr Freeman and his office since he came into practice over 15 years ago. He is extremely hands on and always available. When I need to get one of my 4 kids in the office for an emergency they are very accommodating.
Saw Dr Freeman last week for emergency. Great office, warm staff, short wait time and excellent doctor.
My family recently was forced to switch to an obamacare plan . Our prior orthopedist did not accept this. We were given Dr Freeman's name by several friends. His office is so clean and efficient. He is really terrific and not only gave me a thorough exam but he also followed up with a phone call 2 days after my visit. Really pleased.
I saw doctor freeman for my elbow. I injured myself falling on the ice. I had gone to mercy hospital and was referred to him. He was able to look at the xrays on the internet. He spent time with me. He was caring and empathetic. I highly recommend him
I am a hockey player at age 50. I injured my shoulder and was referred to see another orthopedist in the area. Without attempting therapy he ordered an MRI saw a small tear in my labrum and recommended a surgery. I went to Dr Freeman as a second opinion. He reassured me and fashioned a rehab program assuring me that not every tear needs surgery. I am happy to say I am back to hockey with no surgery at 3 weeks. I recommend him without reservation.
I was referred to dr freeman by the mercy emergency room. He is the chief of orthopedics at the hospital. I had broken my ankle. I called dr freeman on a Saturday and he personally answered through google voice. He reassured me and accessed the X-rays online. I saw him 745 am on Monday . What a great office. Smiling and happy staff and what a terrific doctor with great bedside manner. I am so happy and will refer him to everyone.
I had been seeing another orthopedic group in the area for years. They have become very large and "surgery hungry" I am 55 and injured my shoulder labrum. The doctor in that practice was very quick to want to operate. I was referred to Dr Freeman by a friend. My experience was wonderful. From the pleasant smiling faces at the front desk to the nurses bringing me in the room everything was really nice. I had forgotten to bring my MRI from the other doctor and dr Freeman's office staff made the calls and was able to get it. Dr Freeman came in after about a 5 minute wait. He was very patient answered all my questions and ultimately we decided on no surgery. I am so happy after 6 weeks of rehab and would have made such a mistake having had surgery. See this doctor you won't regret it.
My mother had fallen and broken her shoulder and was taken to mercy medical center in Rockville centre. I knew nothing about the hospital and my experience was terrific. Dr freeman was called by the emergency room at 10pm at night and arrived within one half hour. He was terrific patient and was very reassuring. I later found out that he is the chief of orthopedics at the hospital. Good going mercy you hired the right guy he is really a gem
I injured my knee and saw another orthopedist who recommended surgery first. I was referred to Dr Freeman by a friend and had a great experience. Dr Freeman advised me that surgery was not necessary and my condition could be treated with rehab. I have returned to running with no surgery and really appreciate his conservative honest approach. His office is terrific and very accommodating as well and when I call he gets back to me with a couple of hours. Great experience and very pleased.
I was referred to see Dr. Freeman from the Mercy Emergency Room. I had broken my leg. I was very nervous and called him at 10pm on a Friday. He was very accessible and reached me immediately. I came in at 730 am Monday had expedited care. I have been to many of the larger groups where you wait for hours and this was terrific. He came in with a smile, explained everything and executed care. His office is clean and modern and the staffis pleasant. I highly recommend this doctor on so many levels
Dr Freeman was very concerned about my problem and diagnosed the condition right on target. The staff was wonderful and eager to help me. I got an appointment the same day. After I received my insurance statement which contained an error, the billing staff helped resolve it. I would highly recommend this office.
I was asked by the insurance company, after a slip and fall accident, to see Dr. Freeman for an examination. Although Dr. Freeman was hired by the insurance company, he took his time to listen to me and performed a thorough exam. HIs report, although not 100% to my liking or benefit, was a fair and honest representation of my situation. I am writing this as my friends who have sustained injuries have very different experiences with insurance company exams and Dr. Freeman impressed me as honest and caring and treated me as if I were his patient.
I had shoulder surgery last month by Dr Freeman.I had a rotator cuff tear and was in terrible pain. The surgery was done at an ambulatory surgery center. It was so easy and my arm had no pain for 24 hrs because of a numbing anesthesia he uses. I just started therapy and I am doing well. Most important, after surgery Dr Freeman called me to explain everything that night. Any time I call his office he calls me right back and he personally sees me for all visits, unusual from what I have experienced. I am very pleased
I was referred to South Island Orthopedics by my primary doctor last sunday night. Even though it was sunday night doctor Freeman answered immediately and met me in his office. My 8 year old daughter had injured her wrist and he took an xray and spent a lot of time explaining things. He was great as well on the follow up visit, we waited 5 minutes tops. The office is clean and cheerful-I highly recommend this physician and office in so many ways.
My son broke his wrist at camp last month. I was given Dr. Freemans name by a friend . I called him on a Sunday night, I was able to reach him through a direct call service in 1 minute. Although I was not a patient of the practice he spent time reassuring me on the phone and took the time to reach out to the emergency room where my son was upstate. He then called me back and made arrangements to see us first thing the next day.He caster my sons wrist and even though the office was busy spent so much time with my son and explained things so he felt comfortable. The cast is coming off next week and we are so happy with Dr Freeman. The fact that this doctor didn't even know us and went out of his way is all you need to know. Office is easy, he calls back always within an hour and at night he is always reachable.
Dr. Freeman was terrific with my 4 year old son last week. He had broken is arm and Dr. Freeman took us as a walk in without appointment. He was very reassuring and reset the arm with minimal discomfort. My husband and I are big Fans
Excellent doctor. Easily accessible on weekends. Great diagnostician. Highly recommend.
He rushed through the appointment all three times I went there. Good doctor, but I did not feel that all of my problems were addressed. Go into his appointments prepared with questions and make sure you tell all of your symptoms.
I was referred to south island orthopedics by my primary care doctor, specifically to Dr. Freeman a sports medicine doctor. Dr. Freeman performed arthroscopic surgery after months of conservative treatment for a torn meniscus. He never pushed surgery and was very patient with me. The results have been amazing and I am running daily free of pain. I have since learned that although Dr. Freeman is a sports specialist he treats all age groups and he has treated my daughter an father and we consider him a friend of the family. Thank you Dr. Freeman.
My son had broken his ankle late one afternoon. I called Dr Freeman's office to see if I could come over, they were finished for the day and waited to see us. He took great care of us and explained everything. I recommend him without reservation.Awesome office and doctor!
My daughter needed knee surgery, Dr. Freeman was thorough and the surgical results have been terrific.
Rushed for time ignored my questions way too full of himself I would only refer someone i did not like.
Dr. Freeman treated my son for a broken wrist. He diagnosed the problem and was very skilled at treating both the parent and child.
In this era of managed care, doctors are pressed for time and care is sometimes equivocal. I have an HMO insurance and Dr. Freeman treated me as if I were paying out of pocket ie boutique medicine. Highly recommend him. He is on the cutting edge, he fixed my shoulder arthroscopically, and he has great bedside manner.
