Dr. Eric L Roberts, MD

Dr. Roberts is a pediatric ophthalmologist, however he does treat adults as well (like myself). He performed strabismus surgery on my eye and this being my second eye surgery, I was incredibly nervous. With that being said, he patiently answered all of my questions and put me at ease. My surgery went well and I thank him everyday for what he's done for me. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an outstanding strabismus specialist.

Waited twenty minutes after my daughter’s appt. for refraction. Eye drops went in, and I waited more than one hour to have her eyes checked. I walked out with my daughter. They triple book appointments and unsuspecting patients wait around all day. Shame on them!!!

Dr. Eric Roberts is an amazing Doctor He makes you feel comfortable and explains everything in detail he is great , I had my surgery and I am so pleased with the care. If your looking for an eye doctor for your child or if your an adult Seeking eye muscle surgery Dr. Roberts Is the one you are looking for. His staff is very nice. Thanks again Dr. Roberts.

I was trying to make an appointment with a doctor in Long Island Pediatric Ophthalmology but couldn't. The receptionist who picked up the phone was very rude and inconsiderate. She was impolite and discourteous and at the end she put me on hold only to hang up on me. If this is how the front desk treats people, I cannot imagine how the professionals inside the office treats their patients. It is very unfortunate that this doctor keeps receptionists like her and ends up losing business that he could have had.

I have nothing but high praise for him, although for somewhat different reasons than the other patients who submitted reviews. My son went to him periodically for a couple of years during which time it was hoped that his lazy eyes would resolve without surgery. However, it was not the case and so surgery was required. Although we liked Dr. Roberts and thought he was very competent, my wife wanted to use a different doctor who had been referred to us by a close family friend to perform the surgery. I was concerned and called Dr. Roberts and asked to speak to him. Despite the fact that my son was no longer a patient, he returned my call and it went back and forth a few times before we could actually speak, but he nevertheless was diligent about getting back to me. He listened to my concerns and said that it seemed like the other doctor we were going to use was taking the right approach. I also mentioned that I had looked up the other doctor and found that there was a malpractice… case against him. Despite his hearing this about an unnamed competitior, Dr. Roberts was completely professional. He said that sometimes doctors are sued meritlessly, or because they treated someone before or after malpractice was committed by another doctor, and that I should research the matter and try to find out what happened. I did this, and was able to determine that the other doctor had been sued for technical reasons and was not at fault. I'm so impressed that this doctor took the time and effort to communicate with the parent of a former patient who was going with someone else, and didn't seize what others might have viewed as a golden opportunity to bad-mouth a competitor. It is difficult to imagine so professional, caring and competent a doctor. I'm very grateful to him and my family wishes him well.

This facility is beautiful, clean and very inviting, however it is not worth waiting 2 hours to see the dr. If you are a returning patient.

My son has been seeing Dr. Roberts since is was not quite two years old. I am still amazed at the bedside manner Dr. Roberts has. I never feel rushed during the appointment and he takes the time to answer all my questions. My son's surgery went exactly as it was explained to me and the results were wonderful.

Dr. Roberts is a terrific doctor who the kids absolutely adore. He has a great bedside manner and the entire office is friendly. Can't say enough about Dr. Roberts. We love him!

He is one of the best in his very defined field. His staff are all incredible. We had to schedule eye surgery for my daughter and they made it into such an easy procedure for us! They scheduled everything, all we had to do was show up. One of the best medical groups I've dealt with.

Dr. Roberts has been treating my son since he was a year old. He has been caring and professional the entire time. When Dr. Roberts performed surgery the procedure went exactly as he described it and the results have been amazing. I would reccomend him to anyone at anytime.
