I saw Dr. Dean today. His entire office and staff was very attentive, kind and efficient. Dr. Dean spent a lot of time with me as a new patient describing my condition in detail, at a level I could easily understand. Really appreciated the thoroughness and plan of action. I’m looking forward to receiving care from this facility. All around excellent experience and great bedside manner.

I suffered a stroke in late 2016, at age 46. During the in-patient treatment at Evergreen, a fine needle biopsy of a mass in my neck resulted in an oncology referral to Dr. Dean. I was diagnosed with stage IV head and neck cancer. The 6mm tumor was surgically located in my right tonsil, and removed along with significant marginal tissue. Following the surgery, I received immunotherapy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, through the end of the year. Eric was careful, thorough, compassionate but practical throughout the process. He was candid at all times, and always took extra effort to ensure my complete understanding, and address any questions I had. Dr. Dean’s specialized expertise, and his phenomenal team collaboration at Evergreen, has made the journey bearable. There are many fine oncology practitioners in Seattle, and Eric Dean has earned his excellent regard among them, and from his patients and their caregivers. As I continue one day at a time, I am comforted… always by the knowledge that Eric is there for me, whenever needed. When it comes to complex cancers and their treatments, I most strongly recommend Eric Dean and the team at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. If you have hard decisions to make and you want a partner in the process, you cannot go wrong with Dr. Dean.

Dismissive, rude, left my appointment feeling invalidated.

Dr. Dean is consistently on time, extremely compassionate, an excellent listener and open to my feelings on how we should treat my disease. He is also extremely responsive to my emails, either personally answering them or asking his nurse to call with more detailed instructions. What you don't get from Dr. Dean is a cold, clinical approach to healthcare. His staff are all equally caring. I couldn't ask for anything more.
