Dr. Erica Nicole Smith, MD

I recently had my first visit with Dr. Smith. She is a wonderful, has great listening skills, is attentive, knowledgeable, and she really eased my anxiety about entering menopause. I highly recommend her in this age of conveyor belt medical care--get them in and get them out.

She is one the best! Excellent bedside manner and great with patients! Would highly recommend!

Dr. Smith did an emergency surgery, she explained everything throughly, I had never had surgery before in my life. Very attentive to my needs and followed through. I would absolutely recommend her 100%!

Dr. Smith is very ignorant. She spends very little time with patients and behaves like she really does not care . I don't recommend this doctor

Dr. Smith has been my gyno for the past 3-4 years. Each time I saw her, she took her listening skills to the max. I changed insurance but insisted for her to be my continuing gyno trough the CHICAGO TEACHERS' PENSION FUND MEDICARE ADVANTAGE BLUE CROSS PP.

Beware - is not respectful of patient's schedule - wasted an hour waiting - ending up walking out

I saw Dr. Smith while she was working in Michigan. I absolutely love her! I have not found another OBGYN like her. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Smith "delivered" my son 2 years ago. She could care less about my well being or my baby's. While I was in labor, she told me to stop pushing because there would be a shift change and the other doctor would be replacing her. That doctor was doing a c-section and was unavailable. So reluctantly, she told me that she had to deliver it (though I think all she cared about was going home). The baby was clearly not ready to come out and I never complained, yet she yanked the baby out with forceps, causing serious hemorrhaging from me and the baby had complications with hearing and bells palsy. The floor of the delivery room looked like a scene from a horror movie. I required 5 units of fluid to replace the blood loss and many stitches. I was sick for more than 2 months after the birth because of the loss of blood. She never even bothered to call or check on my well-being.

She did not take to time to listen to or read my history. Also, didn't reaseach side effect of medicine properly before prescribing. I ended up with SERIOUS side effects. I was able to google on my phone to get the info necessary to know that I shouldn't be taking the med in the way prescribed, so I would expect the doctor should have known this info.In addition, one of my reasons for my visits was not even address because I was rushed out of the office, so I had to return for another appt and be charged an additional copay to have this symptom treated (saw different doc at the practice....better quality of diagnosis but still rushed through visit. I was made to feel very unimportant and if they were doing me a favor by even completing my exam.

Dr, Smith delivered for me a healthy daughter six months ago. I am 44 years old and have some specific challenges.she was always kind and thorough and answered my questions. She also was reassuring and took time to listen to my concerns. The office staff was also fabulous. I am grateful for such a positive experience.
