Dr. Estrellita Tan Velez Jo, MD

Dr Velez Jo seems to be a competent doctor. However, I had an appontment scheduled for earlier today and when I got there, I waited about 40 minutes just to get back into a room. I then waited another 40 minutes in an exam room. I finally left the room to ask the staff if the doctor was even in the office. They admitted that she wasn't, but that she'd be in in 5 minutes. Wrong! They were only off by another 25 minutes. Definitely don't go to this doctor if you expect just a little basic respect. Her staff couldn't just pick up the phone and let me know the doctor was running late/had an emergency at the hospital/whatever. Wouldn't you think that that basic bit of customer service would serve doctors offices well? Not these people. No, they'd rather have you wait, uninformed(not once offering an apology for the wait or an explanation, and I was the only one in the office!) and angry in their exam room by yourself. I'll definitely be finding a different pulmonologist... One that treats… me as a human and not like a paycheck.
