Long wait, rushed, indifferent, failed to diagnose second rare eye condition,

Mr Gragoudas was rushed and failed to diagnose second rare eye condition. He also did not offer any follow up/after care after radiation treatment nor any general oncologist support for surveillance for metastasis, nor did he do any genetic prognostic test nor tell about its existence. His devices were antique and hard to handle for staff. Even proton beam chair was truly antique and uncomfortable. G. did also not give any detailed information on the dangerous eye cancer. Even scans were insufficient. Had to have everything redone elsewhere and far better. Not only had bedside manner issues but also seems to be ignorant of or resistant to newest developments in his field. No supporting nurse available either as was abolished due to budget cuts.

no bedside manner. did not explain things well. did not follow through on my husbands surgery.....wish we had gone to someone else.

He was very curt and kept on saying he didn't understand me! Really... I speak very clear English! Going to Tufts New England Eye Center. Dr Gragoudas wants me to wait 4 months for a follow up after waitng almost 6 weeks to see him for the first appt. I don't trust him or his " resident Dr". The technicians at his office are great I must say that!

No bedside manner at all! Very cold, impersonal, curt, impatient. He may have years of experience & knowledge but if he can't connect with his patients anymore, time to retire. Do something else where his expertise could be put to good use, not leaving his patients unhappy and frustrated.
