Dr. Brackett failed to diagnose not 1, but 2 absesses after my surgery. His bedside manner is absolutely appauling. When I told him my concerns regarding my absesses (before I knew what they were)he dismissed them and said it was scar tissue. When I told him it was growing and painful and starting to turn red, he still ignored my concerns. I ended up with a new surgical cut due to a very bad infection which left me wearing a wound vac for about 2 months. And, he did that on my 2nd absess. Dismissed it. Now I have to have that one on a wound vac as well. This could have all been avoided had he listened to what I was telling him. After my 2nd incident, he was very rude to me on the phone, and told me that I need a phsyciatrist, not a surgeon. What kind of doctor would tell their patient that? Especially when my "concerns" proved to be valid issues!!!!
