Dr. Gary Leifer, MD

Procedures cancelled over and over and over again. Staff refuses to book with other physician, while saying Leifer is out indefinitely. Patient is bottom of barrel, lowest on totem pole--pick your metaphore. I've already lost one kidney to cancer, and I now know very clearly what it is to be written off.

Very unprofessional! It is next to impossible to receive any empathy when setting an appointment or to receive lab results. Dr. Leifer is nice enough but his staff makes it impossible to see him, I haven’t seen him in years! I usually deal with my general doctor, Dr. Longfellow which I cannot find anything bad about him or hiS office staff

I found all the employees here courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. My appointments were always on time, even with Dr Leifer. As a women, I would recommend him to other women. I always felt comfortable and confident with the procedure he recommended. The surgery center was efficient too. Before and after surgery care was good.

My primary care doctor recommended Dr Walsh. But his online reviews were not great; primarily because of problems with his staff's rude and unprofessional behavior. So I made an appointment with Dr. Leifer, not realizing that he was in the same office as Dr Walsh. On the day of the appointment, I arrived early to fill out forms. But I had a question about a $35 per page charge "for filling out forms" ; so I left this blank with the intent of asking the doctor about it. When I mentioned to the receptionist that I had some questions about this, she became very rude (see other reviews). She informed me that I could not see the doctor unless all the consent boxes were signed. So I left without ever seeing the doctor. Apparently, this office believes that it is the only urology practice in the area. Well fortunately, they are not. I consider myself lucky that took my business to another practice where patients are treated with respect and not simply as dollar signs. I recommend… that you do the same.

DR Leifer took his time and explained every thing to me , I actually understood everything when I left ,

Dr Leifer is a Dr well respected by me. He listens to what your saying and takes the time to spend with you to help you understand what the situation is that your dealing with and is punctual on getting you taken care of !

First visits with Dr. Leifer. He explained completely what he wanted to do and why he wanted to perform a needed biopsy. He explained each step and in performance of the procedure explained it all again and made sure of my comfort. Had a third meeting to explain to me and my partner the results and his recommendation. He answered all our questions and even thought of some we forgot to ask. He made the follow up second opinion appointment with the oncologist and will be in touch with my primary care physician to relay all the results. It was ust like being with a caring physician who knew me for years even though it was only three appointments. Very satisfied and trust him for my future follow up.

I was referred to Dr. Leifer 4 years ago. He diagnosed my symptoms and after a thorough examination he prescribed a regimen of anti biotics which cleared up the situation. I was particularly impressed with his bedside manner. He was interested and very understanding. The intake questions werecomprehenive and the exam itself was thoughtful and thorough. If I have a urological problem I will call for an appointment without delay.

First time visit. Impressed by knowledge and professionalism.

PA Was very personable, however Dr. too busy(Important??) to introduce his self. Just wanted procedure set up then maybe he would talk to me. Overall confidence in this not good. Do I really want to have him take care of any problem I might have? I will have to discuss this with my Insurance Co.
