Dr Gary Raymond Jones

I recommend Dr. Gary Jones for Reproductive issues with Infertility .... very attentive great surgeon ...& we are happy with the results .

My husband and I are out of town clients and have had EXCELLENT experiences with Dr. Jones and the entire staff. He is warm, caring, and knowledgeable. Dr. Jones and his staff have been truly caring and helpful throughout the process, making us feel very comfortable. We successfully had a daughter, who is now 6 months old, through IVF with Dr. Jones and are so over the moon happy, we are currently receiving treatments and doing a second embryo transfer with the Advanced Fertility Clinic and Dr. Jones. I highly recommend him and the clinic!

After going to two other clinics, in our local area, without success. We decided to look a little further from home. We found Advanced Fertility Center in Chicago, Dr. Jones. I could not be more pleased. After 7 years with 4 of those with fertility treatment, we finally are pregnant. I felt that the staff was very helpful and willing to answer questions. Appointments were prompt, seemed I was in and out in know time. Follow up calls were timely and instructions were clear. Thank everyone so much from the receptionist to the MD for all your help and support throughout this very emotional rollercoaster.

After working with another fertility clinic that was terrible, someone recommended I go to the Michigan Comprehensive Fertility Center in Dearborn. I am SO glad I did. The nurses and office staff treat patients like rock stars. They know who you are and why you are there. They answer the phone (a real person!) during business hours. They call you promptly with information. They are nice and positive always. They go above and beyond to save you every penny on medications. You always know what you are supposed to be doing. Dr. Jones is fantastic--he not only helped get me pregnant, but also he is really, really nice and knowledgeable. There is never any wait beyond 5 minutes for appointments. Whether you are there for bloodwork and/or an ultrasound, you are in and out within 30 minutes. Highly recommended. Go here.

After 4 month of IUI because male Fertility . the Dr. insisted to get appointment with him. we met him and he started to push us to IVF and since we already know that if we go to this route that some clinic offer cash back . he lied and told us that this is not true. and then he pushed us to do injection to me plus control to increase our chance. the nurse took us to explain all the expenses but she didnot explain one fee that is what she called and i discovered later in the bill " Ovulation induction " . when i checked the bill and saw something that they never told me about before they started to convince me that i signed a paper saying i will pay the fees . and then they said well it is only ovulation management to monitor if i ovulate or not . they seem they are ready to answer me like they know i will complain about this certain fee. i think they are liar and this fees only going to the office for extra money . also two of the nurses that they do IUI . they are so bad . they… are always give me bad impression about our case at the time of the IUI .never seemed optimistic about our chance of getting pregnant which is really bad especially at the time of the IUI

I brought Dr. Jones my pre-existing blood results (that were a month old) from my ob/gyn. The results showed polycystic ovaries. Dr. Jones took one look at it, and said "I don't think you have polycystic ovaries", but I asked for an ultrasound anyways. I got what I asked for, and the technician concluded cysts. I was put on Meformin, I got pregnant right away, but miscarried within five days. Dr. Jone's office, said I had a false positive. I had took eight tests (of two different brands) all positive. I went back in for another visit and was put on Clomid. Dr. Jone's told me to come back after my cycle and tell me when I ovulated (based on a bbt chart), my follicles were not monitored via an ultrasound. Dr. Jones's wasn't concerned with my luteal phase (as I was) and just wanted to give me medicines to change my ovulation day. Metformin didn't move ovulation, Clomid did, but my luteal phase was still only 11 days long. Every visit (4 of them) resulted in pelvic exams, and on my… last visit I was told I was only having blood ran. When I arrived, I was told I was having another pelvic, as well. I started to feel uneasy about the whole situation, though I know it was just a follow up exam. I think I should have been informed of the procedure, when I scheduled the appointment. My main reason, for not returning to his office, was the lack of support, guidance and communication. No blood work was initially ran on my hormones, besides the test results I provided on day one.

For part of my diagnostics he had me go to the Macomb Hospital for my HSG (dye in the fallopian tubes) because he said that he would do the test himself and that I would get all the results right away. On the day of the HSG the dye only went into one fallopian tube. I asked if the other tube was blocked and he said no. He said that if he pressed harder it still may not go into the other tube and it would just hurt more so he stopped. I asked how he knew that it was not blocked and he just said again that it wasnt. I took it that the test was inconclusive and that we were not sure if it was blocked. Then I was started on Clomid and the plan was to do IUI. I did not experience a surge so we were unable to do the IUI. I then switched to my new doctor because of an insurance change. I asked my new doctor about why the dye would only go into one tube. He had the chart notes that were forwarded from Dr. Joness office but there was not any documents regarding the HSG so I drove two… hours to the Macomb Hospital and back to get the report and CD. Once he put the CD in the drive he immediately could see that I had a unicornuate uterus (a very rare anomaly) and was missing a fallopian tube. I said that was strange since Dr. Jones had never mentioned that to me. We opened the report from the radiologist and there it said that there was an uterine anomaly. I cannot understand why Dr. Jones would not inform me of this major finding. He said that it would be done correctly and that I would get all the results. I can only assume from what he was saying during the procedure that he did not understand what he was looking at (even though it is very easy to read my uterus looks like a banana instead of a normal triangle) and that he then never read the report from the radiologist. My new doctor said that the uterus may not be able to stretch as far as a normal uterus so multiple births would not be a good idea. I consider using fertility drugs such as Clomid and trying for IUI- the course of action that Dr. Jones was trying after seeing the HSG- not in my best interest. I think that IVF which is controlled and can have only a single implanted embryo to be much safer. He also told me that the baby is typically breach and a C-section is usually indicated. There is a chance of preterm delivery and also a chance for renal anomalies. He sent me to have a renal ultrasound to rule out a missing kidney or horseshoe shaped kidney. He also did another exam and ultrasound to rule out a second cervix and a remnant rudimentary uterus. These were all things that I would not know if I had stayed with Dr. Jones. I am glad that I switched doctors because I also found out that my husbands sperm is totally healthy. My husbands semen analyses from his urologist kept coming back with low motility and high malformations. Dr. Joness said for him to keep working with his urologist and did not seem very interested in the tests even though we thought that this was our problem. My new doctor gave my husband another semen analysis in his office and the results came back normal. I asked how this could occur and then found out that in his testing with his previous urologist he was obtaining his sample at home with no instructions on how to keep the sample warm. From my research this is not a respectable reliable method. So essentially while I was working with Dr. Jones I had no idea of what the real problem was with my husband and I. I thought that he seemed nice but always seemed to be in a rush. I always felt that if I had a few questions they were keeping him from something more important than my treatment.

My husband and I had been seeing Dr. Jones for almost 18 months and had been strong advocates of the care that was been provided by the Michigan Comprehensive Fertility Center. We had faithfully made over 35 visits to the offices in Dearborn and consumed nearly 80 hours of personal vacation time. In addition, we had totaled over $20,000 in billed medical procedures and endured the burden of cost for over $12,000 in related fertility medications. After an unsuccessful year and a half of treatment and procedures, we discussed the possibility of seeking the care one of the Nations most advanced fertility centers in Colorado. Dr. Jones indicated that he would support this transfer of care if we werent concerned about the money and if we chose to pursue blastocyst cultures and Day 5 embryo transfer (since it is not currently offered by MCFC).After our meeting we had a long discussion and decided to complete a one day workup in Colorado. During our visit, we were informed that we had a… condition that Dr. Jones had missed that makes us a strong candidate for ICSI and Day 5 transfer. We were told that if we were to proceed with IVF in Colorado we would need a physician (preferably our current reproductive endocrinologist) to assist with initial ultrasounds and blood work while we were in Michigan. When I called Dr. Jones office to set up an initial ultrasound and blood work, they refused to schedule any further appointments. The head nurse stated that we would have to find another office and MCFC could no longer provide us any additional services because we were no longer their patient. We felt absolutely abandoned and disgusted knowing that MCFC would throw away their patients because they sought care that could not be offered in Dearborn, MI. In the end we felt like we wasted a lot of time and money receiving care from a doctor whose success rates are some of the lowest in the nation and interests / policies are clearly not aligned with his patients.

Dr jones performed surgery on me in the spring of this year,and i am satisfied with the results. he was the only doctor i came to that actually took time out to see what the problem was. i would referr him to any female with reproductive problems.
