Languages Available: Spanish Personal Statement: I have devoted my professional career of more than 30 years to improving the techniques of microsurgical tubal repair in order to be able to restore fertility and hope to women desiring to become pregnant after having their tubes tied. The surgical techniques that I have developed make outpatient tubal ligation reversal comfortable, safe, and affordable by eliminating the need for hospitalization and speeding the recovery process. Clinical Interests: Reconstructive surgery of the fallopian tubes. Research Interests: Documentation of the risks, benefits, and outcomes of reversal of tubal ligation. The ongoing and long-term follow-up study of my patients' operative procedures at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center provides the largest study of tubal reversal surgery and the pregnancy rates and outcomes that has ever been conducted. |
