This practice is amazing. The offices are very well run, the staff is professional and helpful, the doctors are top notch. Dr. Starkman has impeccable bedside manners, is a very smart and caring physician. Highly recommend.
Love the doctor's but the staff, Christy in particular, needs a lesson in manners and how to treat patients. We are there because we are sick. Her lack of patience with people in combination with her resting face have a lot to be desired
I found Dr. Starkman through a referral by a friend. It has been a wonderful experience so far. It's a very busy practice, but is you need something urgently they will bend over backwards to accommodate you. The doctors are caring, the staff is professional and very helpful. I'm glad I fount them!
I was referred to Dr. Starkman by my primary care doctor, and I'm very grateful for this referral. I've been treated with great respect and excellent care. The staff is super helpful, and the office is beautiful. Extremely professional and compassionate care.
I am very impressed with this pain center and I highly recommend them. The office staff is amazing and always work to accommodate me into the schedule. I came to inquire about getting Botox shots for chronic pain in my neck, shoulders and upper back. I returned to receive these shots and they helped tremendously. Several weeks later after falling in my home I came in for a trigger point shots in my neck. The office staff squeezed me in as the last patient of the day. I was running late and the doctor could not have been any nicer.
I am glad I found them. They've made me feel much better, and the care was super personal.
I have been seeing Sara for migraine h/a,s, as well as other things, and she has helped me so much in the past two yrs, my headaches are almost nonexistant. She has also shown a great deal of compassion in her treatment and testing follow up. Excellent care.
I am a new patient to this practice, and must say I have been treated as a personal friend here. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate your needs. The team of doctors is amazing. They all are super qualified in what they do. Dr. Starkman spent plenty of time with me on my first visit to him, he returned my phone calls at the end of the day when I left messages about some questions regarding my condition. Dr. Starkman and physician assistant spent a wealth of time with me during my follow up visit to go over my tests results and my treatment options. I'm very optimistic I'm in good hands now, and I'm sure they are going to get me better. I've been to other doctors in my life, and can say with absolute certainty, this doctor is on the top of his league.
I had a fantastic experience. All my concerns were addressed, all arrangements for my tests were very efficient, and most important -- I was helped and feel better. Very grateful, definitely recommend
I was taken in within 15 minutes. The doctor listened to me for as long I needed to explain my problem, then asked me questions and examined me. He then explained to me in details his thoughts about my condition, as well as his plan to investigate it further, and the possible treatment options depending on the outcome of suggested by him diagnostic tests. I was extremely pleased, and felt totally comfortable with the doctor. I did go through the suggested diagnostic procedures, then the doctor went over the results with me very thoroughly, and prescribed treatment. I have significantly improved since then, and am immensely grateful to this wonderful doctor for all the attention he gave me and his help. Thanks to him I am back to my normal life.
Very compassionate and attentive, knowledgeable and goes out of his way to help. I was very impressed and am extremely grateful for finding him
In this ever changing landscape of medicine in our country it is becoming more and more difficult to find a truly dedicated, well trained and knowledgeable, compassionate, professional in any aspect, and a very pleasant doctor. I am extremely happy I have found one. Not only my problems were properly diagnosed and treated, I have also received a very personal care and have had such a great experience in this practice, that I would recommend it to any one in my family or to my friends, as well as to any one who is looking for a similar experience.
I have visited the doctors office on several occasions. I found him to be polite, understanding, and always willing to listen to me. His staff is very nice too. I would recommend him highly.
I was listened to, all my questions were answered, I got the attention I needed, am extremely satisfied, would definitely recommend
overall very satisfied with care
Very satisfied, great experience, great care and compassion, wonderful staff, beautiful office, state-of-art equipment. The only problem : need to make an appointment well in advance, extremely popular doctor and his associates.
Personally I did not have to wait more than 15 minutes, but I liked the care so much that you wouldn't mind waiting if I had to. I give this doc 5/5, and don't understand how the previous reviewer could rate this wonderful doctor so low despite being happy with the care just because the doctor was trying to do his job managing his other patient's problems and prioritizing his actions. That's what all good doctors do, you need to wise up!
my favorite doctor, helped me the most with my problems, highly recommend
While I am very satisfied with the treatment I have received, I did not like the very long wait times before I was called and the numerous interuptions during the treatment either by the assistant or by phone calls.
great doctor, excellent diagnosis and care, definitely recommend
I received more time and attention here than in any other medical office I've ever been to. Very satisfied with treatment and results. The staff is the most helpful in my experience. Highly recommend.
Read the previous review and felt hurt. I saw this doctor very recently after reading many wonderful reviews on him on this web site. I had a completely different experience. No doctor had ever spent this much time with me as Dr.Starkman. To call him a pill pusher and not listening to his patients would take a clearly sociopathic personality and someone who for sure would never be happy with any doctor. I received all the attention I was looking for, all my questions were answered, all my options were explained. I have never been more satisfied with a doctor in my entire life. Shame on the you for using this public domain to vent your own psychopathic problems for defamation of a wonderful doctor who changes peoples' lives.
loved this doctor, very knowledgeable, personable, compassionate, and helpful. Definitely recommend.
I was misdiagnosed by several doctors before I went to see Dr. Starkman. It was a little difficult to get an appointment, but the wait time was well worth it. I got all the attention I needed, I got the right diagnosis, I am able to use my hands again. My life is back to normal. Would recommend this doctor to anyone without hesitation
Exceptional doctor, extremely thorough, compassionate, and understanding, works with a team of associates which provides continuity of care and easier accessibility. Definitely would recommend to anyone.
This doctor saved my life. What more can be said.
I have nothing but the good stuff to say. I received what I was hoping for and even more. I reviewed a few negative comments on your website and here is what I think: there is no chance in the world these disgruntled nut jobs are going to be happy with any doctor, and they ought to be ashamed for their unfair comments.
The most helpful office staff in any way. Compassionate care ( rare commodity these days ). The doctor and his Physician Assistant spent 1 1/2 hours with me on my first visit ( was well worth the wait ). The follow up visits are very thorough too, you never feel rushed. I feel 100% better since I started coming to this doctor, and I can not express enough gratitude to him and his staff - it is over the top.The loons who complain about having to wait a little longer in this office than in your average "patients mill" type of practice, and the addicts ( like the one who did not get her ( or his ) Vicodin and Fioricet ) only waist the precious time of the good doctor who helps real patients in need of proper care.
I have never seen a doctor who had better bedside manners or who spent more time with me during my first and follow-up visits. He and his physician assistant work as a team, they listen, they explain, convince, and help. It is hard sometimes to get a quick appointment, and you have to wait sometimes to be seen, but is is because they actually give you all the time you need, and don't ration it, like in the offices where you can be seen right away and do not have to wait. This is the way medicine used to be and almost is no more.
I have been a patient of Dr. Starkman's for a number of years. He is intelligent, thorough, will listen to you and 'hear' what you say. You will wait a long time to see him, but once with him, he will spend time with you just the same. He doesn't take the initiate to review tests with you all the time, but if you ask, he will gladly review and explain. His staff is courteous and busy. He is a professional in every sense of the word.
Been seeing him for 3 years when needed. Great diagnosis and treatment, but often have to sit a looooooong time in waiting room. Smart, knowledgeable, experienced, sympathetic. Has a physician's assistant, which is helpful.
I went to Dr. Starkman for chronic pain (legs & back) & migraines. I was taking vicodin and fiorinal, only when needed, my only 2 prescriptions. I don't smoke or drink, and am otherwise in good health. He took tests, did not discuss or share results with me. After speaking with me for less that 10 minutes, he stated I was addicted to both meds and offered me stronger medications (a morphine derivative, duragesic, percosets) and botox injections. I tried some of what he suggested but was uncomfortable with the side effects. The third time I went back he handed me off to a physician's assistant, who said I would have to submit to urine tests to continue on the codeine (which I did, and never got the results of). She made me me feel like a junkie for insisting on less medication, not more. She also stated that on no account would he renew the fiorinal, as it had caffeine. So it was okay to prescribe morphine derivative on a daily basis, but not caffeine? That doesn't make sense to me, and neither he nor the PA would give me an explanation.
