Dr. Birchfield has been wonderful through my breast cancer experience. We, (my husband and I), feel he is not only my caregiver but is a friend. He truley cares about my wellbeing and about me as a person not just another pateint. I have been seeing him for 1 1/2 years, since my diagnosis of stage IV breast cancer. He was never negative, but honest about what we were up against. I felt very comfortable, safe, and well taken care of from the moment I met him. He offered me options for my treatment and never got annoyed with me or all of my questions, no matter how many times I asked them. He knows about my family and always asks about them. I know about his family from our conversations so it is more than an office visit. He is very personable and VERY smart. I trust him with my life. I owe him my life. Lorie N.
