Dr. George Stamataros

You won’t find a better endocrinologist than Dr. Stamataros. His bed side manner is only surpassed by his medical expertise. Dr. Stamataros is easy to talk to, he listens (takes notes) and answers all questions/concerns in a manner the patient can understand. You get his full attention and never feel rushed. His thoroughness and ability to actually apply his medical knowledge is unsurpassed. I had been seeing a different doctor for about 2 years and with no accurate diagnosis nor help, basically just it was getting to that phase in my life. On my first visit with Dr. Stamataros, by just listening to my complaints and looking my previous lab work, he correctly diagnosed me. He did more specific testing to confirm his diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan. I had a pituitary tumor and needed surgery. He moved, and I now travel over 130 miles one way to see Dr. Stamataros. If you need an endocrinologist, I highly recommend Dr. Stamataros. You will not be disappointed, he is… expert in his field and you get 100% of his attention. He not only walks you to the checkout, but has personally called me at home to discuss some critical lab results. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Stamataros.

Dr. Stamataros is knowledgeable in endocrine and thyroid disorders but he treats based only on labs. Which all patients with thyroid issues know that labs aren’t always accurate. He doesn’t seem to care about my symptoms. I am very frustrated that I feel worse after seeing him vs better. I will have to find a new doctor to manage my care.

Dr Stsmataros was very polite. Took his time explaining everything for my thyroids. Staff very friendly clean. Waiting time short surprising. Would recommend and located by Robert woods hospital. Easy appointment

He's not a pill pusher. He evaluates with care, respect and knowledge. A superior physician. Already seeing greater medical improvement as a result of his guidance after only a few visits.
