Dr. Gilbert Seymour Lederman, MD

Personally I was cleaning my car early one am heard his talk show so I told my mom who thought she had pneumonia 1 year (Dr said ) found out stage 4 lung cancer , she did several or so treatment with him and I was like wow at first amazing until few months later she coughed blood went to westchester medical and died at 59 from a heart attack due to cancer was not revived ! Leaving kids a 90 year old spouse and grandkids that loved her sooooooo much! He didn’t even pay a condolence to my family !

Dr. Lederman was rude and extremely obnoxious. Actually, both father and son were rude and obnoxious. My husband and I walked out of their office. I would not recommend them to treat anyone. Never mind someone who is suffering from cancer.

Not a patient but hear him on radio. I had a double masectomy 7 years ago. So when I heard him on radio saying sonething to a patient to effect of " so they were going to cut you open and throw your body part in the gsrbage?" I was amazed at the insensitivity and fearmongering. Then I googled. OMG. I remember years ago when George Harrison died of brain tumor. This jerk was his doc. Forced him to autograph a guitar. Even though Harrison could no longer function. My first thought was "oh, so he is heartless doctor I was stunned to read about years ago. I believe someone like that lacks a certain aspect of humanity, otherwise successful though they may be.

Didn't visit because - on local radio we got turned off already - "When Dr. Lederman first came to New New York from Harvard, 97% of the women in New York had breast cancer....." Unethical? We brought this up to the NY Board of Medicine, but they said it's not worth action.... Go figure.

I would rather give a ZERO rating than 1 star. Bill and I arrived at Dr Lederman's office before his 9:30 appointment on June 19th, 2023 after taking a 5 hour bus ride to N.Y. city and taking a cab. Bill was given paperwork to fill out about his metastatic pancreatic cancer. When done he got up and gave it back to the young girl at the desk. Then we sat down. There were many people sitting down the hall and I was told that there were 4 other waiting areas! We were still waiting an HOUR LATER and none of the 3 women at the desk came over to explain why..... and old people kept coming in!! So I stopped a worker who was walking quickly by me and asked what was going on. She said that Bill was a new patient but we were sitting with patients that are getting treatment. So I asked if we should sit somewhere else and she said no. She said she would tell the girl that took Bill's paperwork. More time went by and we had to go to the desk again. They were AVOIDING US. They weren't even… treating us respectfully by coming over and explaining. They just didn't care. So after going to the desk again the girl said "You're next" Another 30 minutes went by and we went up to the desk really mad now. .... and she said , "I'm sorry but you are next." I had to stop a man that looked like Dr Lederman's son and jump in front of him and asked" What time are you open till?" He said "10:00" so I went to the front desk and asked if the doctor expects us to wait until 10 p.m. She didn't answer that. I told her we had get a taxi and get to the train station to catch the 2:00 train back. She said , " We have people that fly here" I feel worse for them because they lost more money than us! We lost the cost of the bus, the hotel, the train and gained the pain of this New York Nightmare. We left at 1:00. Dr Lederman should NOT TAKE ANY NEW PATIENTS BECAUSE HE HAS PLENTY ALREADY AND CAN'T SERVICE MORE. His website should read," NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS" And he simply doesn't care about anyone new or he would make sure that his staff treats you well. I think he must be "money hungry" . We were so mad and upset going home thinking what a nerve he has to do that to us and feeling that he owes us money for that trip. I think something should be done to stop more people from going there and that's why I'm writing this review.

One-size/type treatment does not fit all, but this seems to be all that was offered to the person we care for. Different cancers at different stages require more than one type of treatment. Don't be fooled by the self-proclaimed god of radiosurgery. Dig deep in real research and you'll find the truth under the fluff advertising. Anyone who needs to puff themselves up in their own radio advertising is a giant red flag. His circus of website reads like a cheap advertisement, not a professional medical facility. When you're a good doctor, word of mouth from actual satisfied patients is all you need. He has a fast-talking receptionist that you can't understand and who apparently either doesn't give him messages, or he chooses to ignore them. Doctor ignores questions from patients, does absolutely no follow up after treatment - not even a "how are you doing?" the day after, gives no nutritional information, offers no counseling services, etc., and even worse, ignores requests and holds… hostage important medical records when you choose to transfer treatment to a state-of-the-art facility. Disgusting, dirty, outdated, and unprofessional excuse for a medical office that should be a sanitary environment for cancer patients. One visit we were greeted by a rat in front of the building, and the basement office was a balmy 40 degrees in March. The deathly ill cancer patient waited in excess of 2 hours in a hard chair that looked as if it were purchased at a garage sale and sat suffering in pain in that freezer of a waiting room to receive a 10-minute treatment. This doctor has had some major legal issues regarding his medical practice in the past and it's painfully obvious that nothing has changed. It's appalling that he's even allowed to practice medicine in this country, let alone the state of NY. Stay far away from him and go to MSKCC is you want top notch cancer care. And anyone who has a negative experience with this doctor should address their concerns to the New York State Department of Health, Office of Professional Medical Conduct.

Visited the clinic for second opinion; as they advertise non stop on radio and posters. This clinic is filthy, so dirty in the exam rooms and overall waiting areas… there are chunks of used soap at every sink, green used soap chunks…. Unreal, with old towels just hanging at the sink…not to mention the stained pillows…It’s a wonder that this clinic is open. Posters are taped everywhere of every famous persons who are not a patient there…weird …. Also during your consult if you have questions you are quickly cut off and basically told …we’ll do surgery then… when both drs are in the room the son’s facial expressions says it all…. Most patients are better served if they research this clinic thoroughly… you will find it’s not a miracle place and a lot of general jargon on Harvard and poster sayings / quotes. It’s a basement clinic with a real need for sanitation protocols and some level of organization…. Patient care is supposed to be all encompassing, inclusive of a clean… environment. The place is scary.

Take note: He has the personality of a warthog and the bedside manner of a mosquito. Very annoying

He's an animal! Avoid at all cost!! All his patients die!!
