Dr. Whang is a native of California, having received a B.S. in Biological Sciences Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California, and a medical degree from MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He successfully completed a Transitional Year Internship in Philadelphia in 2001 and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Hahnemann University Hospital in 2005. Dr. Whang served as Chief Resident during his fourth year of residency. Then, he completed fellowship in Cross-Sectional Imaging at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 2006. Dr. Whang returned to California in the summer of 2006 after spending 10 years in Philadelphia and New Haven. He joined the Department of Radiology in August 2006 and is an attending staff radiologist in the Division of Body Imaging.
