I have seen Dr Lake for years, very disappointed he is retiring. Will miss him.

Dr Lake makes me feel very comfortable. And listens with patients.

Follows up on promises, returns phone calls, and truly seems to care about his patients.

My former excellent Bay Area physician having retired, I was recommended to Dr. Lake by several nurses at Alta Summit hospital, each of whom had selected Dr. Lake as their personal physician. They told me that he was not only a superb doctor, but also a caring and personal one, who hand-writes notes when he has new thoughts on their conditions. This given, I was eager to see Dr. Lake, and find him as courteous, careful and thorough -- taking his time to understand each possible problem or condition -- as he was described. I also admired his broad concern with the environment when he mildly (not forcefully) suggested that I not use antibiotics for a condition which, indeed, remitted without them.

Dr. Lake is great. He is professional and gives great care. But, he is also an "old fashioned" doctor who will make time to see you and give you tryly personal care. He's great.

I feel so special that I was able to become his patient three years ago; he is willing to explain in detail care and follows up with me. I am older and have various aches and pains and he has helped me throgh heart attack, cancer and all that goes along with ageing. He is the BEST

Dr. Lake has taken care of my grandmother, my mother, my father, my step-father, my wife and myself. At least one of these hated doctors and at least one of these was extremely nervous in the beginning. Yet all of us came to trust his wisdom and knowledge (which are not the same thing!), rely on his practical advice, and depend on his gentle care.
