Went for an intake appointment and was told to take a psychological profile, as a result of that Dr. Ball pegged me as an addict without proof because of previous life experiences. Just because I was molested as a child or abused as a child and went through a wild phase in my life where I drank heavily DOES NOT mean automatically mean I am or will be a drug addict. Instead of making me an addict my life experiences and advercities I've gone through have made me a much stronger person and taught me how to deal with life without getting into street drugs. Ironically what He prescribes is something that though needed more often then not leads to a different kind of drug addiction and his treatment of people would be considered abusive because of his profiling of people and making misinformed statements on your perminant record that you are not allowed to see and that he refuses to correct should you be able to see it through a legitemit doctor.
I have been a patient of Dr. Ball for 16 years. The first procedure he did on me kept me from having severe pain for over 10 years. He is a very caring person. I wish I could say the same about his office staff, particularly Faye the insurance person. When you leave messages I think she just deletes them. I have very good insurance and waited almost 2 months for her to call them to get the pre-authorization for my procedure. She said they were not calling her back, but when I called my insurance they had no record of her calling to get any authorization.
He busy doctor hopefully mostly because most of the time it is worth the wait. compassionate and attentive. Not judgmental, open to discussion, gives several options for treatment, attempts all means for the best treatment/medication needs. Good environment with office and staff.
I have been a patient of Dr. Greg Ball for about 4 years and I would not trade him for anything, he has great bedside manners and he is easy to talk to. He has a great team of other Doctors who will see you when he is not in the office.
I love dr. Ball!!!! He listens to every word I say and works with me to find other options besides just pain medication to alleviate some of the pain I go througH daily. Without him, I would have a very painful and unhappy life. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone (:
Dr Ball may very well be a wonderful doctor but I was never able to find out. For approximately six months I tried to get his office staff to arrange an evaluation with him before having a surgical procedure. His coordinator Faye would not return phone calls and when I was "lucky" enough to talk to her she was extremely unpleasant and would not schedule an appointment. After six months of waiting I finally had to start a search for another physician. Dr Balls staff should have to walk in the shoes of a person who suffers with extreme pain and possibly they would show a little more compassion
Dr Ball is great as long as you are spending money on injections and other procedures. Which never helped my family member. Once you stop these he has no use for you . He make no money on office visits
I love Dr Ball and his nurse practitioners !! They are understanding and have wonderful bedside manners!! They give their patients the best care!!!
Dr. Ball, although only able to see briefly before procedure, is skilled, compassionate and sincere to help chronic pain sufferers. Unfortamtely, I do not experience the same courtesy with many of his staff. Many staff members seem unhappy and Follow through with insurance carrier requests are ignored. I am concerned decisions for appropriate care and relief are based on financial needs for the practice instead of clinical support for the patient. In the past, I have experienced great pain relief with conservative intervention while having private insurance. Now that I have Medicare, the same procedures that I beniffeted greatly are no longer provided. I hope this can be remedied on my next visit, otherwise, I will need to seek another caregiver in order to receive proven treatments and benefits provided in the past to minimize pain, tingling, numbness, anxiety, depression, medications and improved sleep cycles.
Dr. Ball is detail oriented, know his patients history, and spends all the time needed to get the job done right
LEFT WITH NUMBNESS IN RIGHT SIDE OF FACE AND EAR AFTER INJECTION IN NECK
He takes his time and does what he can to make sure you can live a close to normal life without pain!
When I first went to see doctor Ball I had been in the VA medical system and a wheelchair for many years. Injuries that I had received while in the military ruined my spine. I had been diagnosed with degenerative joint disease by two civilian and many VA doctors. Dr. Ball and staff started me on a program to wean me off of the meds that the VA had prescribed and start a new med therapy. I have nothing but GOOD to say about Dr. Ball and the staff. I am no longer in the wheelchair and up and moving around much better. I advise any veteran in the VA system to give Dr. Ball a try if you have any kind of joint injuries and get out of the WORST medical system on the planet.
its very diturbing when the dr.(ball)over prescribes you medication knowing that it will lead to dependancy.and when you decline to take all the meds he will no longer be your dr.to me that is just milking the system and he will not meet with the patients.only the prns do.i do not reconmend this dr. to anyone
Dr. Ball haas been great and listens to you when you describe you problem(s). He understands the pain you are going through and tries to lesson the pain as much as possible. He is very sincere and dedicated to his work.
My experience with Consultants in Pain Management was a positive one compared to Specialists in Pain Management! Tracy Sherrer was my Nurse Practicioner who reported directly to Dr. Ball. I *never* saw Dr. Ball for my DDD or fibromyalgia except right before I was put out for nerve blocks. They were fairly considerate but suspicious due to my young age, perhaps.I'd suggest consultants in pain management over specialists in pain management any day, but their decision to dismiss me after my purse was stolen with medication in it was ill-informed. I even filed a police report and gathered evidence proving she stole it, but they still claimed I violated my narcotics agreement with them. They are not as informative as they should have been.
Over a period of 15 years, Dr. Ball and his staff have worked through many changes in my spinal physiology. I doubt I would be walking at this time without their compassion, knowledge.skill and encouragement. We do not eradicate the pain, but wemanage it together with our mutual cooperation. Not everyone needs a medtronic pain pump and spinal injections, but I did. They met every need.
A GREAT CARING DR. THAT HELPED GIVE ME MY LIFE BACK AFTER A WORK RELATED INJURY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. BALL FOR YOUR CARE.
If you get an appointment with this doctor you will never see him. You will be seen by his Nurse Practitioner, who seems to think she is a doctor. She is a cold hearted, pompous person who lacks any compassion. She automatically assumes that you are there simply to abuse drugs! She does not care in the least if you suffer on a daily basis from chronic pain! She enjoys the power of controlling someones life and happiness. If she does not like you, your cutoff to suffer! Beware and ask for someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW GOOD THE DOCTOR IS IF YOU CAN'T GET ANYONE TO RETURN YOUR CALL AND THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR A DRUG ADDICT! SOMEBODY NEEDS TO REMIND THEM THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE IN THE PAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTICE. COMMON COURTESY GOES A LONG WAY IN LIFE. HAVING PAIN IN MY LIFE IS BAD ENOUGH AND NOW I HAVE TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR BECAUSE I CAN'T ADD MORE STRESS TO MY LIFE! I WILL FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR AND I WILL TELL MY PERSONAL M.D. NOT TO RECOMMEND ANY NEW PATIENTS TO HIM.
Dr. Ball is a great guy and so nice, but his staff is some of the worse people I've ever had to deal with in my life. Never will return a phone call. The Doctors under him "when they are there" are ok but most of them are bad at least the one I dealed with. You would think as nice as he his they would be great!! Im now trying to find a new doctor. Dr. Ball is nice, but there is no reason to deal with everyone else just to see him.
I have been a pt. for many years, will con't to be one for years to come.
ball is all about giving shots and u almost never see him in office.Very conservative with giving medicine but no problem giving many shots which later on end up hurting you worse.2 doctors their were good but both left,I was lied to by one of the doctors and had another apologize for not being able to help my pain better but he said dr.ball would not let him.Nice to know that my treatment was controlled by someone who in 5 years spent less then 30 minutes with me and that was always prior to him sticking me with another needle.I hope dr.ball gets the treatment i got their one day.
