Dr. Gregory Lantz Smith, MD

It has been at least 23 years since Dr. Gregory Lantz-Smith changed my life FOREVER. He performed two surgeries on me and to this very day I owe all of my confidence to him. If he is still practicing, go to him. I would!!!!

Terrible, dim-witted “surgeon” and a bigot. Beware!

Dr smith did a boob job on me 18 years ago; and they still look good! I've seen others that have had the same procedure by other doctors, and he,in my opinion, is still the best!

I see another reviewer has been happy with her breasts after 30 years. So, I thought I'd leave a review and say I have great breasts after almost 20 years by Dr. Smith. They do sag like an older lady's and I guess that's just how that goes. He was wildly popular back in the day. All my friends also were done by him and no complications that I am aware of.

Dr. Smith was consulted by Dr. Steven Garren,who I worked with,because Dr. Smith was more into cosmetic surgery & Dr. Garren was more into hand surgery. And after Dr. Garren actually SAW my breasts, he told me he wanted to get Dr. Smith involved. Thanks to the internet, I now know my problem/deformity was tubular breasts. Hidious-looking.One friend said they looked like double-decker snowcones! I wound up having 3 procedures. One doctor did one side & the other did the other. Initially, I had expander prosthesis placed as I had so little breast tissue. I would go in & have saline injection once a week. Let me just say, I had extreme pain! I had general anesthesia for the expanders & permanent implants. The areolar reduction was done with local. I also had my best friend,who is also a nurse, with me during surgery. Thanks to her, when one of the day-surg nurses was looking in from the door & said, "Wow, those are really weird looking aren't they?" the door got closed. My implants… were placed submuscularly so it required making a pocket by stripping tissue from my chest wall. It took about 6 months post-op before my breasts didn't stick off of my chest like torpedos. Dr. Smith wanted me "braless & active" for a year. This was all done in 1985. I have never regretted it despite all the pain. And I still say "God bless" for both of them (& Terri)when I say my prayers. This has made such a difference in my life that I can't begin to tell. To no longer have to be humiliated about my weird tiddlies has just been so wonderful! And my husband likes them, too! But I didn't do it for him; I did it for me. Which I am glad for because,as bad as it hurt, I would've been really annoyed if I had felt like I needed to do this for him! Just as an FYI, even with my weird breasts, I nursed both of my babies before, and actually started lactating after the first surgery. I highly reccomend Dr. Smith! But I think I surprised him when he asked me why I wanted to have this done; my response was "I want to catch crumbs on my chest." He was like, "What???" I told him, when I was young, we used to eat supper @ our church on Wednesday nites. After the meal, all the normal to big-breasted women would brush the crumbs off of their chests. I told him, "I have to do this." & demonstrated wiping crumbs off my lap. It must've made an impression on him because after the 2nd saline injection into the expanders, he told Terri, "Well, I think she can start catching crumbs on her chest now." Wonderful, wonderful man. Will be including him (& Terri & Steven)in my prayers until I die. No matter what your issues are, I know Dr. Smith to be excellant @ what he does. So, "Go for it!!!" I'm a nurse & really don't encourage people to have unnecessary surgical procedures. But sometimes, to correct a congenital problem it is required. I cannot tell you what a difference this made in my life. It wasn't that I just wanted bigger boobs, I wanted normal-looking ones. I'm 59 years old now, & my boobs sag a bit-just like they would do if they were normal ones. Every time I go in for a mammogram, they have to know if I have implants. Every time, the tech says, "You have a lot of breast tissue." And I just laugh. Because everytime they wind up saying, "You really don't have a lot of breast tissue, do you?" But my breasts look & feel incredibly "normal". And I have Dr. Smith to thank for that! Just do it!
