Have you seen Dr. Gregory Makris?

October 26th, 2010Never again
My husband wasn't feeling well and had to go on a 15 hour flight overseas for a business trip. To be sure it wasn't something more than just a cold or flu, I prompted him to go to the Doctor. His primary doctor wasn't available and only Dr. Makris could see him. He dismissed it as a virus, didn't give him anything or pursue a chest xray (despite him having had pneumonia a few years ago which apparently makes it easier to acquire the next time). While overseas he got worse and came home extremely ill. After a trip to the hospital, it turns out it was a severe case of pnuemonia. While no one will ever know if Dr. Makris could have anticipated it becoming that serious, it seems to me he might have done some further testing before he dismissed it. And, he could have given him something to take in case it did escalate -- which it ultimately did. I will not be recommending him to any friends.
