Dr. Gregory Alan Teas, MD

Gregory believes medical evidence of the abuse of one's child being handed over, and concerns about such, requires antipsychotics and is "bipolar." He is also completely unaware of the reality that the antipsychotics can create "psychosis," via anticholinergic toxidrome poisoning, when wrongly forced upon a person. Which, of course, means he knows nothing about the adverse effects of the drugs he prescribes and he profiteers off of illegally covering up child abuse. I will say, he does finally become embarrassed enough to wean a person who was misdiagnosed and wrongly medicated, rather than listened to and assisted, off his toxic torture drugs, but only after another doctor is quoted as saying, "Concerns of child abuse are not cured with antipsychotics."

Great Psychiatrist - Right diagnosis, Right meds, Properly sets tone

During my 15 or 20 years as a patient of Dr. Teas, I have come to know him as an extremely dedicated professional who has provided very effective treatment for me. When prescribing a medication or making a medication change for me, the FIRST medication he selects for me usually does the trick. When my life situation changed enormously at one point, I was seriously depressed for several months. Dr. Teas continued to try various medications, and he assured me that i would eventually return to health. I did. There's a reason Dr. Teas is the Chief Medical Officer at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital. He's an excellent psychiatrist, and both the professionals and his patients know it.

Dr Teas was the first doctor to not automatically label me with bipolar. He delved deeper into my situation and my current diagnosis is the first correct diagnosis I have received in my lifetime. I am happier and healthier that I have ever been. He took the time to ask questions and actually listen to my responses. I respect him because he thinks outside the typical diagnosis box.

I would highly recommend Dr. Gregory A. Teas to any one suffering from the bi-polar disorder. Under Dr. Teas guidiance and my clozaril I have been episode free for 16 years. He is the difference maker for me as other doctors prescribed the wrong medicine for my condition. I am extremely grateful that my aunt recommended that I see Dr. Teas as Dr. Teas was referred to the Carmelite Monastery for bi-polar patients.

Worst doctor a patient can ever have. The good reviews are by people getting the drugs they want, not need. Arrogant, poor listener, money/power hungry Dr. Misdiagnosed since 18 finding out the truth 10 years later, given every psychiatric drug or very close in the book in various dosages that didn't add up. I was a walking drugged out zombie for no reason. 'Five' medical questions and you're diagnosed. The more medicine prescribed and the higher the mgs the more money and incentives this man and other doctors get. Way to go Big Pharma! Diet, exercise and lifestyle predict how your brain will function, not external unnatural chemical compounds that are not made for the body to handle.

He never made eye contact with me during our visits; he was always looking at his lap top. I suspected he wasn't listening to me, but then just condoned it as him being very busy. Well, my perception was true: Dr. Teas mistakenly gave me 6x the amount of meds I should have taken! While he apologized for the mistake, he was still as pompous and arrogant as ever. This mistake was the final straw.

Dr. Teas is a genius. My husband suffered from major depression for 6 months last year and went from Doctor to Doctor desperate for a cure. Finally, the 3rd Psychiatrist recommended that we go to Dr. Teas(the fourth Psychiatrist), stating that he is a Pharmacological expert with the Psych Drugs. Weeks after seeing Dr. Teas, given the right meds, my husband was literally cured. He continues to do well with no signs of depression whatsoever. He literally saved his life and our family.

I have been a patient of Dr.Teas since 2004 and I think he is a great doctor so caring and willing to listen to what you have to say I honestly think he has done wonders for me and if it wasn't for him I dont know how I would be feeling mentally right now Thank you Dr. Teas
