I have been seeing dr Hatasaka for about 4 years and could not say anything bad about him and his nurses.
Dr. Hatasaka was so pleasant to talk with. I left my first appointment feeling excited that he will be able to help my husband and I.
Always been so great to work with and willing to answer ALL my questions.
Excellent doctor! I love his patience and good attitude. He is very friendly and he has the heart of a teacher. I love how he explains everything very detailed.
so kind and caring. feel totally comfortable with him. probabaly the best doctor I have ever been to.Takes all the time I need to answer my questions. very up on latest research.
My first experience with the staff when we were there for a test wasn't pleasant but I wanted to meet with the actual doctor so we went back. This time my experience was much more pleasant. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The doctor was extremely informative. All of my questions were answered and he was up front and forward in giving this information.
The staff are very friendly and helpfully. During my first visit I waited for 30 minutes past my appointment time. I was compensated with a $10 gift card which was very nice.
Dr. Hatasaka is wonderful. He always explains everything well, he makes sure you understand what the expectation should be and what will happen next.
I thought Dr. Hatasaka addressed all my concerns kindly and knowledgably. He gave me hope that other doctors had not. However, he did struggle staying on topic.
dr. hatasaka has been beyond exceptional. very informational and always looking out for his patients best interest. so glad our friends had refered us to him:).
Dr. Hatasaka was really wonderful. He was extremely informative, and gave us a much better understanding of potential issues we may be having, and the process of diagnosing and testing. I did not feel rushed through the consultation, and he answered all of our questions thoroughly. Once we were finished talking, he walked us through the steps we needed to take to get a diagnosis, and got all of the tests ordered. Instead of taking months to rule out possible causes, we will have a full work-up and answers within a month. We know we are in good hands.
Dr. Hatasaka has been fantastic - very knowledgable and shows genuine interest in his patients. Unfortunately some members of the nursing team did come across as disinterested and were not dilligent about following up with us when they were supposed to. My biggest concern is that during our IVF cycle, I did not receive a phone call to inform me when to take the trigger shot. I ended up having to get a hold of the on-call doctor and eventually found out the time for our trigger short 5 minutes before I needed to take it. If I had not been dilligent about trying to get a hold of someone after hours, our IVF cycle could have been ruined.
Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to know that you've enjoyed your interactions with Dr. Hatasaka. We are equally concerned regarding your experiences with our nursing staff. We completely understand your frustration, as missing the proper time for the "trigger shot" would carry negative consequences. We are glad (and relieved) that you were able to complete the shot at the prescribed time. With that said, we are a bit surprised to learn of this issue. Our nurses typically do an outstanding job of communicating such important information to our patients. In fact, we have strict protocols in place to ensure that the problem you reported does not occur. We have had prior situations where patients have missed such "alert" calls from our nursing staff. Because of patient privacy regulations, our staff is limited in the information they can leave on a patient's voice mail. As such, if we have to leave a voice mail, we simply ask for a prompt response to our call. While we do our best to relay the urgency of a callback, unfortunately, not all patients reach back out to us. Regardless, our goal is to avoid the situation you described. We would appreciate a chance to discuss your experience, so we can learn from this situation, and adjust our processes if need be. We invite you to contact our office at your convenience. In the meanwhile, we wish you the best.
Dr. Hatasaka was fabulous. The clinic seemed to be run efficiently. My only complaint was that after having my blood drawn while in the office, I was called a few days later to come back. Apparently they had not drawn enough blood the first time for the needed tests. This was an additional trip I should not have had to make. Not too big a deal as long as I did not get billed twice (time will tell).
Thank you for your comments. We are glad that you enjoyed your interactions with Dr. Hatasaka. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience caused by the need to draw additional blood. We rarely require patients to return to the office for a second blood sample - it appears that we made an error in communicating how much blood was needed to run the required tests. You are absolutely correct - the additional trip could and should have been avoided. Again, we regret inconveniencing you. In circumstances such as these, we would not charge the patient for the collection of a second sample. However, the statement would include a charge for the tests that were performed. If you would like to discuss the details of your care further, please contact our office at your convenience. We are always happy to hear from our patients, and are glad to find solutions to any potential problem.
Dr. Hatasaka is very thorough and spends his time answering any questions we had. The only negative experience we had was when I got different answers from nurses on whether I could take the fertility medication the first cycle after my miscarriage. I was supposed to start it that next day and was told by one nurse I could, but another nurse told me I couldn't. I tried to get in touch with the doctor, and was told to email him. I did not get a response from the doctor until almost a week later. He did call me at home in the evening and apologized for not receiving the message earlier. I was just so glad I went with my gut and took the medication, otherwise I would not have my positive pregnancy test today :). Dr Hatasaka is amazing to work with. I just wish I could have a way to contact him in those rare circumstances when the nurses cannot answer the questions I need answered, but I would still recommend him to anyone I know suffering from fertility problems.
Thank you for the kind words about Dr. Hatasaka. We are so excited to read about your pregnancy result! We are equally concerned about the conflicting information you were given by our nurses, as well as the amount of time you had to wait to speak with Dr. Hatasaka by phone. We apologize if the conflicting answers from our nurses led to any confusion. Patient feedback plays a vital role in our ability to identify potential areas for improvement within our practice - so, thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We have recently taken steps to improve our ability to respond to our patients' phone inquiries by hiring additional clinical staff. We are bringing our new hires up to speed as quickly as possible, and we hope that you will notice a measurable improvement in the near future. While some growing pains are inevitable, we believe our newly expanded team will be better positioned to provide the excellent level of care that we, and you, expect. If you would like to discuss your experience with us in greater detail, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are always willing to find solutions to any potential issues our patients bring forward.
Dr. Hatasaka was extremely informative. He gave us so much information that we had previously been unaware of about the process and history of infertility. It was so helpful. The only difficulty we experienced was waiting for a response to voicemails with the billing office. I hesitate to complain about it, though, because the billing office did work very hard to try and coordinate things with my insurance provider.
We are always pleased to read about positive patient experiences at our clinic - thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. As a practice, we constantly strive to improve upon our performance; as such, we appreciate any feedback we receive about how we can do better. We hope to use your comments to review our current processes, and apologize if we did not respond to your phone inquiry in a timely manner. Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention, and we wish you the best.
During my 8 year battle with infertility I have seen 3 different Reproductive Endocrinologists. Dr. Hatasaka is hands down, the best in Utah and top in the nation. As a patient of Reproductive Care Center I was on the verge of transferring to him at University of Utah, when luck would have it - he was brought on board at RCC. The best decision I ever made was transferring to his care. His bedside manner is beyond compare, his compassionate care is exemplary, and his confident knowledge is just what we needed to restore hope and trust. After 3 IUIs, 3 IVFs and 2 FETs I will keep trying with him in my corner. Wait time minimal, amazing staff, always ensures my questions are thoroughly answered...just a wonderful doctor who earns trust and respect.
Doctor explained us everything in detail and made us very much comfortable.
I love, love, love Dr Hatasaka. He was so kind and compassionate in giving us his diagnosis. He always explained things fully and gave us the time we needed to fully understand our options. And we are now pregnant with twin identical boys! So very happy with everyone at the Reproductive Care Center! I highly recommend them!
He is so caring towards his patients. We have had very emotional problems with our infertility issues, but only excellent experiences with Hataska. He is always willing to talk to you and he really cares.
