Dr. Harvey William Schefsky, MD

Excellent and compassionate doctor I'm very happy to have to have found him as he takes the time to listen and has a wealth of knowledge.

If you are looking for a physician who is both smart and compassionate- who takes time to listen to you and who gives you the appropriate feedback, who truly cares about you, then Dr. Harvey Schefsky is the doctor you have been searching for. He is one of the most outstanding physicians I have yet to meet. I feel privileged to have him as my primary doctor. I don't generally give 5 stars to the docs I review but if there were 10 stars that would be my rating.

I started seeing Dr. Schefsky in 1999. From the very first visit I knew that this was a God directed decision. I have multiple morbidity conditions and I think that I have at least 3 charts that have had to be separated. Because I have so many complicated issues, he was willing to weed through everything and began a course of treatment that changed the quality of my life tremendously. For the past 6 years I have gone monthly and I am ALWAYS treated the same. He knows me without looking at my chart. He knows my conditions and medications without looking at my chart. He is one of the most amazing doctors I have ever been to. While some may not think that with having 41 years experience that he would not be up on the latest, I have to tell you he is far ahead of most specialist that I also have to see. Dr. Schefsky is so kind and comforting but can be stern with people like me that are very stubborn. He actually is a doctor who will sit down, look at your face and ask you " So, what are… you here for today?" That is just something that does not happen very often these days. I trust his opinion over every other doctor that I have in my arsenal. He also is not afraid to send you to a specialist when you have a situation that is not able to be diagnosed. He has saved my life literally at least 3 times with me having blood clots. He is so intuitive that he can diagnose things very quickly but is not a pill pusher. I am 46 so I need for him to stay in practice for just a few more years, like maybe 40 more. Saying thank you to a brilliant doctor is just not enough. I also like the fact that you may have to wait for your turn in line to see him, but he does not try to catch up by rushing you through just to say he has seen you. He gives you the amount of time necessary and I have never felt that I have not had his undivided attention. I don't know what I would be like today if I had not been led to him.

He is a great Dr. and one that takes his time when he is with you. He is very compassionate too. He has been our Dr. for at least 15 years and will continue to be as long as he in practice.

Great DR -- have been going to him for over 20 years -- I hope to never need to find another Dr, will be hard to find one the same caliber as Dr Schefsky.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schefsky for over 15 years. He has always taken the time to listen. Gives me options and ask what I would like to do. He is easy to talk to and has a good sense of humor. The staff is not always the friendliest, but have always gotten back to me promptly.
