I was Dr. Kawamoto's patient back 1977-1982. This Dr. is one of the founding surgeons for craniosynostosis! The original Doctor was Doctor Tesseia from France in the early 70's. I had my operation 32 years ago. I would recamend this docotor to anyone. Kevin Waters

I was the victim of a sledding accident in Idyllwild, CA on December 27, 1970. Injuries I sustained were skull fracture, right eye ejected, fractured nose and cinus cavities, repositioning of maxilla arch by 2 cm., fracture mandible in 3 places, severe lacerations to frontal skull and tongue and extanguination. I had seen several other reconstructive-plastic surgeons who we were told were of the best, yet nothing they performed would put my face back together. In 1982, a close friend of my mother's mentioned a young Japanese plastic surgeon who had extrordinary talent. All I wanted was to be able to look in the mirror and not see a trauma face looking back! We made the appointment with Dr. Kawamoto and in early 1982 he performed a six hour procedure that almost beat Our Creator's touch! Shortly after I was in Hollywood around midnight on a date when some of the jaw reconstruction wires came loose. I phoned him from a payphone on Sunset Blvd. and he told me to meet him at his office in 20 minutes which we did. Dr. Kawamoto will stop at nothing to assist the progress and well-being of his patients. The feds tried to shut him down because of the brand new building being earthquake unsafe-right in the middle of a procedure he was performing on me! Just think, all that surgery gone to waste if the building collapsed. I obtained a Pheonix Technology fire helmet for him to wear in the event this occurred which he wore under his o.r. attire proudly. He worked with my occularist who was rude to him. He promptly fired the occularist and found me a better one in short order. Had it not been for the extreme talent and ability this gifted surgeon has along with his two co-stars the most organized and professional Terri and his second right hand in the operating room Toni, I would likely would have remained a trauma face in the mirror for life. Thank you Dr. Kawamoto!
