I was taken via ambulance to Swedish Hospital Emergency Room with a painful(!) kidney stone. Dr. Willson recognized the situation immediately and after the immediate pain was alleviated, he ordered that I be admitted rather than sent home with a "band-aid". He was solicitous without being patronizing (like some doctors) and I went home the next day without further incident. I contacted my urologist and passed the stone.
