Dr. Ilmar Soot

If I had listened to his doctor, I would not be walking again. Was sent to him from the ER for knee pain. He took 2 xrays, but was unable to run the PC so that they could be viewed and wouldn't ask a staff member to help him. Told me that my current condition and mobility wouldn't get any better and to just accept it. According to him, there was no need for physical therapy, no meds that would decrease the inflammation and nothing could be done. His manner was rude and saracastic - after making me wait for over 1 hr. I then went to another Dr. and started physical therapy. Within 3 months I was 75% improved and am at probably 90% now. My knee will never be perfect, but I am back to my normal life since I didn't listen to this guy.

This guy has no bedside manner. He was snarky and sarcastic through out. He seemed only to focus on the fact that I was in pain, and might want pain medication. He is obsessed with this, rather then dealing with my DIAGNOSED (via ER records/MRI) Rotator injury. My advice, go to someone who cares.

Dr.Soot was rude, pompus, and made me feel like " I was bothering him". He disagreed with his own nurses when they encouraged me to use ice and change the position of my sling ( I Had two fractures of my collar bone). He lectured me on pain medications more times than I could count. He never did give me any plan to heal. I left his office with no information, only confusion and extreme pain. I've changed doctors and never saw Dr. Soot again. PLEASE "SAVE YOURSELF" DO NOT SEE THIS INCOMPETENT doctor !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went in for shoulder pain after an injury. He said noting will help. No anti-inflamatories, no ice, heat, PT nothing he said, would help. Said it was mechanically fine, but it would not heal for about 2 months. Said he wouldn't give me anything for pain, because it wouldn't do any good and if it's numb I might do something to re-injure. Then told me to move it around, but not to re-injure, but still move it. Vague on his descriptions. Contradicted himself. Hmmmm

He was unwilling to look at the arthroscopic video, he looked a t an image of a 25% torn ACL and said it was normal, my GP asked me if he was a licensed doctor.His opinion was everything was a pre existing condition, that must be why the insurance companies hire him.IlMar Soot first exam and report was 98% wrong, that is pretty bad in my opinion. I recommend if you are sent to this doctor for review to refuse and ask for another doctor, one that actually ready your orthopedic reports then examines then makes a determination.
